"Have been waiting on a refund from host for over a week. He has been contacted by VRBO & Expedia multiple times without response. I was not going to leave a negative review but the host has left me no choice. We arrived at the property on check in day to a \*very strong\* odor of moth balls. At first we thought it had just been closed up for a long time & that it would decrease with air circulation. Within 15 minutes, my headache was so bad that I ended up vomiting. Soon after, my son said he was feeling very bad. I attempted to call the host x3 with no answer.I checked to see online if the moth ball smell could be the culprit. I found that mothballs should never be left out in the open (not in a container) & can cause severe illness. I went searching to see if I could find them and sure enough there was a large, open, unsecured bag in the kitchen closet. I thought maybe the internet information was being dramatic so I called poison control line as suggested. We were told to leave immediately. I attempted to call the host again with no success. We left the property and went to a hotel. I called VRBO who attempted to call the host multiple times with no success. I then sent a text to the host asking for a call back ASAP since both myself & VRBO had been attempting to reach. He later called back & was pretty rude saying "I doubt its that dramatic" among other things but did say he would refund. That is the last I heard from him. He is ignoring contact from me & the company. "

"Everything was very nasty and falling apart. You should not partner with this hotel. The rooms were dirty, the beds had cigarette burn holes in them, there were bugs everywhere, and the roof was caving in different areas. The two pool table areas had standing water everywhere. There were three people who got arrested. One of which who flashed one of my basketball players that’s in high school. The police were called and he was later arrested for something else. 3 of our guests had to change rooms after checking in due to how poor the conditions were. The breakfast area hardly had any food stocked or there to be made. "

"Very hi Justin good afternoon. How are you? I’m good. I’m sorry I’m eating my lunch real quick before 1 o’clock appointment I have but I wonder if I missed your call no, that’s fine. I’d rather talk through it cause I copied you on the most latest email that ever that was going around did you see if by chance I have not I can take a look well in a nutshell what’s going on one of my Key accounts overpaid they double paid a bill of $769,000 and they were basically told in the first attempt to see if we could reimburse it that they needed 60 days and you reimburse it. What do you mean by that reverse reverse and they were told so the customer was told that it would take us at least 60 days to do that if we could otherwise it would just send us a credit. Customer wasn’t satisfied with that response and then I guess apparently someone in the call center said you know what you have the option file PCO complaint not a good way to end that call just FYI so the customer came to me cause I’m their account rep and said what can you do to help us so I kind of started going down the path of asking you know David Turner, and my director well he’s our director now over here in Ohio. He recommended I go to use somebody else recommended I go another route so I kind of run in parallel people here everything I’m getting back from everyone else that you’ll see in that email saying we can’t do it well I just pulled up the account and my first my first thought given the balance is that they’re lik"

"The room looked like it hadn't been cleaned at all before our stay, just "tidied up". There was dirt and debri on the bedroom floor, piles of dirt pushed into the corners of the floor in the bathroom, boogers and other debri smeared on the walls, stains on the towels and the bed sheets. There were also not enough towels provided for the number of guests staying in the room. Took our child to the pool, the sign at the door states you must ask front desk for towels, my husband stood at the front desk for almost 10mins while an older man sat behind the desk on the phone, cursing at whoever he was speaking with. The other desk attendant was sitting in a chair by the elevators and watched for a while, then finally approached to assist after almost 10min. The towel that was provided was also covered in stains. "
