We had an excellent stay at Sutton Place Halifax and would definitely stay here again. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed, exceptionally clean, and our room on the 17th floor offered a spectacular view of the Halifax waterfront. Waking up to that view was one of the highlights of our trip.
The location is outstanding. Being right in the heart of downtown meant we could easily walk to the waterfront, restaurants, shops, and many of Halifax's attractions.
The staff were fantastic throughout our stay. They were welcoming, professional, and incredibly accommodating. We were especially grateful that they allowed us to check in about four hours early, as we were between accommodations with our luggage. That small gesture made a huge difference and really set the tone for a wonderful stay.
We didn't have a chance to use the hot tub or visit the bar, so we can't comment on those amenities.
The only thing future guests should be aware of is that, because the hotel is located in the heart of downtown, you may hear some street noise on weekend evenings. It wasn't bothersome to us at all and is simply part of staying in such a convenient, vibrant location.
Overall, this is a beautiful hotel with exceptional service, an unbeatable location, and amazing waterfront views. We highly recommend it and would happily stay here again.
