This is a wonderful old mansion. I love that they did NOT modernize it to the point it’s lost its charm and character. The staff were amazing. The room was nice, clean and cool with a nice view. I would highly recommend staying here. The only negatives experienced is the noise level. Be prepared to hear propane trucks at 6 in the morning stopping at the cafe and the smell of the seaweed can get pretty rough. So if you’re a light sleeper (which unfortunately I am) or if your sense of smell is sensitive, you may not want to stay here.
I would give the entire experience here an 8 out 10. I’d give it a 10, but the “traffic and smell” can get to be a little much. However if “old homes” and having an amazing cafe (which serves amazing food, just a few feet away) sounds good to you, thus is your place.
