“We enjoyed our stay!”

“Everything was very nice and clean. The only thing I would suggest is to have coffee available. But all else was great. Thank you!”

“A very quiet shop.”

“The address for the house didn't match between the VRBO and the maps direction so at first we went to the wrong house and had to search for the right house. The upstairs was very hot and we needed all the fans running in each room to make it tolerable with no covers. We slept well after a busy day at Effigy Mounds and Spook Cave. Thank you!”

“Todo muy bien, el personal muy atento”

“The converted jail was such an interesting and unique place to stay. The property is beautiful, the house and room were clean and inviting, and the cell block was a great place to hang out and explore. We loved morning coffee on the balcony and the fabulous whirlpool tub for relaxing. Make sure to check out the incredible food at the local Algerian restaurant, and a lovely river walk, or explore the four story antique mall in town!”

“The apartment is spacious, very clean, and comfortable. It features beautiful views of Elkader. The location is in easy walking distance to the shops, restaurants, and riverfront trail. I hope to stay again. ”

“Wonderful historic location. Host provided thoughtful extras that we didnt think to bring. Our only suggestion would be if you prefer a softer mattress I would bring a mattress pad.”
