I had a great stay with Claymore Inn and Suites. I travel often to Antigonish and this time it required an overnight stay. While I normally stay at other places, I figured I’d give Claymore Inn a try. I’m impressed.
Great front desk service, speedy check-in, and decent furnished rooms. The bed was especially comfortable. What I liked most was having a bedroom with windows that opened. So, at night if you prefer the sound of nature and fresh air, definitely consider it.
I also had three in my party and each of us was given $16 vouchers for the restaurant next door. Fantastic experience with the food as well.
Other than that, my only minor thing was the TV not having cable (it did have YouTube and excellent speedy wifi… probably the best I’ve experienced staying at the hotel). I also noticed a smell from the washroom that entered the living space. However, closing the door and keeping the windows open significantly reduced the smell.
Simply put, I would definitely return again and will recommend it to others. I would rank it as my Top 3 places within Antigonish and New Glasgow area for price, service, quality, and amenities!
