You'll be spoiled for sightseeing choice when visiting Altstadt Dresden. New Synagogue is a great place to kick off here, but there are many other fine sights to discover. Semper Opera House, Church of Our Lady, and Zwinger Palace are near the Jewish house of worship and and will cap off your day nicely.

Staff were courteous and always accommodating. Rooms were clean. Breakfast superb. Location within easy reach of city centre via bus, and Neustadt areas also via bus. 24/7 counter staff which was useful because we didn't arrive from Berlin until 1 a.m. Flixbus terminus 12 minute walk away at Dresden Neustadt Station.

Beautiful property and room (we were in the main building) with A/C. Dinner at the restaurant was also excellent. Great experience! Parking is limited - there are a few spots along the drive up to the hotel; otherwise, I was told there was a bigger spot but it was a bit of a walk. The room key is attached to a HEAVY weight, which is hard to carry in your pocket. I was told you could leave it at the desk daily. Another note, the elevator is down 3 steps so that could be a problem for some. Overall, we loved this castle-like hotel overlooking the river with beautiful sunsets!
