“We weren't prepared for how remote this property is and the extended rainy season made it even more so with very poor road conditions. Be sure to stock up on EVERYTHING you'll need before going up there as a trip to any store or restaurant will be lengthy. We had to leave after staying only one of our two nights as we just didn't have enough food. “This is a great place in the forest about 25 minutes to some popular beaches. We loved exploring the area. The cabin was super clean and comfortable and the deck area is beautiful to have coffee while listening to the howley monkeys. The pool area is nicely set up for photo opps. “The stay at El Sabanero Eco- Lodge was incredible. I stayed there with one of my close friends in a single bed suite. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked well. It was amazing the ways that the lodge works to be eco-friendly while still offering a comfortable experience. There was a water station for hot and cold water to fill your water. “The property is in an excellent location with easy access to the beach and local restaurants. The bungalow was spacious and comfortable for our family. We spent a lot of time on the patio and the pool was refreshing after a day on the beach. Dave was very helpful and made our stay easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend! ”

“Rooms were clean. We had the queen by the pool. It was perfect for the 2 of us. The view from the pool is stunning. Very relaxing spot. 25-30 minutes from Tamarindo beach. Food on site for lunch was great. Breakfast was ok. Carolina and Enrique were very kind and helpful. All in all a nice spot. We didn’t use the spa only the hot tub. But it looked nice. The road to get there is a bit windy and rough. But part of the adventure! ”
