It had all the modern amenities, but it felt transported to an oasis of the past where our family just enjoyed time with one another after diner playing games around the large dining table. “The most amazing place we have ever stayed in! This historical, darling, little cottage has been lovingly restored & so beautifully & thoughtfully decorated. We loved having a dishwasher, AC & good size washer & dryer. The book of instructions & tips for our stay was so helpful. I would highly recommend going on a hot air balloon ride, kayaking down the river (the 2 hour option was a perfect amount of time) & visiting some of the markets that are listed in the information binder. “We had been looking forward to returning to Cognac for a few years. Penny and Tony's house didn't disappoint! Surrounded by vineyards, you couldn't hope for a more peaceful location. There was a large garden for our cocker spaniel and children to roam in and a very pleasant pool with all the necessary pool toys and inflatables provided. The house itself is roomy and the kitchen well stocked. Easy access to Saintes and Cognac by car and an hour from Chatelaillon plage. For those with……

“at the request of the owner, I write my review in Dutch. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaar (antwoordt ook altijd heel snel op een berichtje).Er stond een welkomstmand klaar met vele streekproducten. Leuk en vooral lekker. Pascal, dankjewel hiervoor! Het is een zeer groot domein, met een park (gras is wel hard voor blote voeten) en een heus bos erbij. Verschillende keren hebben we reetjes gespot. Er is een groot zwembad, maar de ligstoelen zijn dringend aan vervanging toe. Ze liggen niet……
