Sue-meg State Park Tours

The property has recently changed ownership. That was apparent with the lack of welcome upon arrival and the poor bar/dinner service. The first impression is a good one as the lobby area is quite attractive and in keeping with a property of this era. However, the sleeping corridors are very depressing. Some renovation has occurred in the guest rooms. More updating is necessary, including that of bathroom fixtures. We did not use the spa services. At checkout when asked how our stay was, I shared my opinions. I did not get the woman’s name, but she seemed to take the constructive criticism well and appreciated hearing my thoughts. The lodge has a unique location as it is situated at the end of Avenue of the Giants. I hope the new owners will honor the history and charm of what used to be.

Good location

Did not like that the bathroom was down the hall from our room.
