“pool was down for repair. carpet in room dirty and torn .Morning I was leaving found 2 cockroaches on bathroom. upon checkout I told them of roaches. I was told, oh, that was probably some tiny beetle. I am 72 years old and know a cockroach when I see one!”

“The room was clean but the bathroom needs updating. Everything was cracked. The breakfast was very good and the coffee was excellent. The location was very convenient to the highway and towns. The hotel was very quiet.”

“Poor room and smelly room. Did not feel like using anything including restrooms as well. There were insects inside the bath tub... very poorly maintained....but did not have choice...so just slept for night and left ASAP in the morning”

“I travel a lot for business and this was an extremely clean property. I was hesitant, as in the past Red Roof Inns were not a place I would stay. This is an exception to the rule. The front desk staff was pleasant and accommodating. The room was very clean, smelled good, and had a comfortable bed and great AC. I would stay again.”

“Three Trails is ideally located in downtown Elkin. It, however, is located next to an active railroad line and trains do sound their horns early in the mornings and sometimes at night. Three Trails is also on the corner of the main street junction of the city. Therefore, there is street noise. Three Trails would be much improved, and more comfortable for guests, if sound proofing glass is installed in the windows. Also, allthough Three Trails does notify guests that no elevators are on the……

“I loved our stay. The hotel is located in easy to find address, shops and restaurants close by.”

“The only issue I had was a loud group of people outside, but that was our of the hotels control. A nice stay.”

“Room was freezing and in need of a simple chair. There were pleny downstairs but not in the room. You need a chair to dress and put shoes on. Also when you finish riding you don’t want to sit on the bed. Also kitchen needed a drying rack paper towels or dish cloths. Beds were comfortable and location great. View of falls wonderful. Does the tv work downstairs?”
