“I had thought I was booked to stay the Nauvoo Temple House Hotel, but not knowing how things were set up, I ended up staying in the basement of what used to be the old ZCMI store. That was probably due to me asking the staff (on the phone) if there were any stairs, since I'm handicapped. It didn't have any steps; it's a basement. The first room, a bedroom, only had one bulb in the overhead light fixture, which anyone in housekeeping should have noticed. There was no shower, just a bathtub……

The alleyway from the front is level concrete and well lit. We parked in back as we were instructed. It was a little confusing at first, until I reread the instructions.
