“Overall it was average, the room we were in did not have consistent air conditioning; tha cool would come on then off, Sheets and towels were grey from so many washings. Breakfast was advertised as deluxe continental with bagels and packaged danish, yogurt. Noisy with a group coming back after a party on Saturday night then fire alarm going off for 25 minutes at 1:45 am. No house keeping on weekends. ”

“Beautiful hotel”

“A beautiful, historic hotel smack-dab in the middle of Salem, walkable to shops, dining, ghost tours, Witch Museum(s), and what-have-you. Very easy, free parking directly adjacent. Excellent breakfast, professional desk staff. People that complain about the shower and toilet/basin being situated in separate, small rooms likely haven't traveled in Europe. We had no problem with this, and it's fine with me if the shower doesn't steam up the mirror you need to shave in front of. ”

“Wish it had on site parking, but parking lot was a short walk away. The hotel is right on Essex, so within a 10 min walk of most shops, attractions, and local restaurants. ”

“23:00 fire alarm rings, everybody rushed out! Then the next morning 7:30 fire alarm rings again. But the hotel didn’t give any explanations!”

“Accomodations and service thumbs up Clean and constantly maintained. Employees outstanding. Make it your next vacation or weekend away.”

“This was the worst experience ever, lot of noise, too dirty. Uncomfortable beds! It’s definitely a terrible choice!”

“Beautiful castle building, free coffee at the reception, staff are very friendly and helpful. They even offered me a ride to the train station when the next train was coming within half an hour. Overall it’s a very pleasant stay. ”

“Not too bad for an overnight trip”

“Traveling to visit Salem was made easy by staying here at this hotel. My fiancé and I enjoyed our one week stay and we both loved the breakfast variety that they had to offer. The little omelettes with the bell peppers and the waffles were my absolute favorite. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I did have a pricing issue because of a check in error, but it was fixed and I was refunded the excess amount fairly quickly. Other than that, visiting Massachusetts was absolutely amazing and very……

“Stayed one night on a quick trip to the area. The hotel was exactly as pictured and listed. Room was decent for the night. Had a nice fridge and bed was good! Would highly recommend for the area. The only odd thing was the window in the room only had a curtain. I felt a little uncomfortable but overall good room with a perfect location to beach and shops. ”
