"This place is great! It is in the middle of nowhere in my opinion , so plan snacks and drinks accordingly. There is no microwaves in the room either but there is a good sized fridge and coffee machine. The beds are cozy. The room was way more spacious than i expected. The staff were so unbelievably kind and helpful. There is no AC, but we cracked a window and it was great. I highly recommend this place. Nothing negative at all."

"What an amazing place! Photos are actually not as beautiful as real life. This is one of the best river locations on Green River; we watched salmon jump, ducks swimming, eagles flying overhead and the train was an extra bonus! The kitchen was stocked full of everything you’d need and one of the best BBQ grills overlooking the river to make dinner! We will go back again for sure!"

"I thought it was expensive compared to what a state park yurt camp site would cost. I don’t know what the water temp in the hot tub was but it wasn’t very hot. I’m an aficionado of hot tubs/springs! What the owners are trying to do here is inspiring; it’s an intentional community with a family with kids on site. The common house kitchen facilities were nice. The property is huge and must be difficult to keep up; some of the landscaping needs attention. They are doing the best they can, it was nearly deserted. Only 2 other campers were there. The yurt was beautiful and an authentic design. The opening is very low (I’m 5’4” and hit my head several times coming in and out). So be careful! If you are looking for a forest retreat this is more of an urban/forest experience. This property is up a steep and narrow gravel road. Another car approached me as I left for a day trip and I had to back up quite a ways to let them through. There is a highway down the hill and my first night there I heard motorcycles and loud cars off and on all night. Someone who was at the property drove back and forth past the yurts 3 times on my first night; once at 10:30 pm, again at midnight and also at 5:45 a.m. and woke me each time. If there is a resident that has to go to work maybe they could park their car near the entrance of the property so they don’t disturb the campers? It’s stated several places on the property that quiet hours are 10 pm to 8 am. Craig & Kate were very nice."

"The Highlander Lodge exceeded our expectations! Our group of 25 included 1 set of grandparents, and four families with a total of 15 grandkids from age 5-15. The game rooms and sports court gave the kiddos plenty to do, and the adults could find plenty of spaces to quietly relax. We had beautiful weather the last week in July, but even if it had been a rainy week, the family would have had a great experience due to the huge indoor space! Most of the rooms had individually controlled quiet A/C which meant we did not need to open windows. Very comfortable! When outside you can hear the distant sound of the highway, but that was not a problem for us at all. Wonderful to have hosts willing to rent to large family groups with kids! We took good care of the property and hope the owners continue to make it available to families like ours!"
