Check in was flawless, got to the room and it smelled old. Mold was on the ceiling on the shower so front desk changed my room. Next next morning there was a baby roach in the kitchen of the 2nd room.

They are in the process of updating old couches and chairs! Much of the furnishings are old but the hotel is clean and is a convenient location! The views are either the intracostal or the ocean! This hotel was in a perfect location because we traveled on spring break. The south beach area so overly packed with partiers. It was impossible to dine in any of the restaurants or lay out on the beach. Surfside was away from all this chaos!

Great place for families. easy to get around Miami Beach by either bus trolly or uber. quiet enough but if you want to go other places its very easy to get around!
