8.6/10 Excellent! (1,015 reviews)
We stayed at the Townhouse Hotel for Manchester Pride. It's really well located just a couple of minutes from Canal Street and staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was on the 5th floor and a good size. Wifi was excellent in our room and no issues with video calls for meetings. The bathroom had a bath which is unusual these days. There was a laptop sized safe. The price was good.
There were some of negatives. Our room had an adjoining door and the people on the other side were LOUD at 5am; if you're a light sleeper I would make sure your room doesn't have an adjoining door as the noise travels through. The toilet flush was terrible. The shower attachment you'd expect to have seen in a 1980s bathroom. The room could have done with more lighting. The room wasn't thoroughly cleaned between guests (a layer of dust on the coffee tray was a give away).
Despite the negatives, I'd probably stay there again based on price and location. There is a lot of competition in the area and the hotel has the opportunity to make some minor tweaks that would go a long way.
