"When checking in, I told the staff member I had lost my handbag on the trip up and didn’t have my license. While he gave me instructions on what I had to do (call Hotels.com) he explained it’s cheaper to book directly. Being pretty savvy - I explained I always cross check prices. He told me the $50 would have saved me a phone call to Hotels.com. Not only are they not cheaper, $50 x our 4 night stay wasnt worth $200 to avoid a phone call. Further no hard boiled eggs 2 days in a row? What does it take to boil eggs. We stay at Hampton Inn in Exeter NH all the time and never had these issues."
