“The Union Inn is a very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. All the accommodation has been recently updated and our bedroom was well equipped with complimentary toiletries etc, plus tea, coffee and bottled water. We didn't dine there but the food looked really nice and was great value. As to the inclusive breakfast, it was excellent and substantial. Andy and Wendy are doing a fantastic job on developing this place and couldn't be better hosts. Location is great just 10mins walk from the……

“Absolutely beautiful house and weathering pretty well considering age and National Trust status. Quirky and very comfortable but not contemporary so don’t expect gleaming and modern. That’s the absolute beauty of this place and we loved it. The staff were fabulous and service was outstanding. House and grounds superb. Special birthday treat and will recommend until the cows come home! Well situated for York and a wonderful way to embrace history with this wonderful house. Fabulous!”
