The food was terrible We dont like it

The Hotel Almirante is an excellent place to stay in Cartegena. Located in the heart of the bubbling Bocagrande area, the Hotel Almirante is perfectly situated near restaurants, shops, 24-hour grocery stores, and right across from the beach. If you are a walker, the Hotel is a 5K stroll from the Walled City. The amenities in the Hotel were plentiful and convenient. It offers three eateries, a rooftop swimming pool, meeting and conference spaces, a sports bar, a gym, hot tub, and the nicest staff members in the area. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Almirante again and I certainly recommend it.

The hotel staff they're excellent and the room is very clean and nice.

This boutique hotel is in a wonderful location and it is so easy to walk around the Walled City and have this be your home-base. The upkeep of the grounds is immaculate as they are constantly cleaning and keeping things top-notch. Unfortunately, in our room that was not the case. We had the fourth floor balcony room, which was small and we were expecting that, but the bathroom needed attention as the shelf (the only shelf) slanted downward and was not able to hold anything as far as toiletries, etc. which just made it a logistical challenge. Knowing the fourth floor is also an elevator ride up to the third floor and then stairs would’ve been good to know prior to booking as my husband has some mobility issues, but we made it work. The staff were lovely and very attentive. They let us check in early and helped with the bags. I would definitely stay there again, but might try to choose a different room.

Everything was great except, lunch Buffet was over run on Sunday with day pass guests.
