France Adventure Vacations

The hotel was pretty with breakfast included. We enjoyed the breakfast for the but the room itself the size of a closet. The room seemed bigger on the photograph online. We were not prepare with the amount of space that it had. Additionally, we booked an additional night because we were going to arrive at 7 AM but our plane was delayed for four hours arriving at 12 PM at the resort. we had already lost our breakfast and nap that day. When speaking to reception about it to see if we can get a credit or coupon or anything we got nothing not even a coupon to buy an ice cream. Very disappointing. Our first time in Paris.

I will start with the pros: The location was amazing, and the staff were very kind and helpful (there was only one hiccup where we were not provided guidance on when to arrive for our Seine cruise). The staff did go above and beyond to meet our requests. At one point they brought us a fan simply for noise. We were there when temps reached 100 F, and the AC worked very well. We were in a junior suite and the room was very large with plenty of storage and had a small, charming balcony. The beds were comfortable. The cons: The only real con is this is advertised as a 5 star hotel, and it is not. The rooms are dated, the hallways smell musty with dirty carpet that runs throughout the rooms. It does not have the 5 star luxury feel. We came from a true 5 star property in London and the difference was striking. If you know that going in, and are okay with the price and an outdated room, then you will be getting a hotel in a great location with a spacious, comfortable room with friendly, helpful staff.

We had an amazing three night stay at Le Burgundy. The front desk staff and concierge were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and the location of the hotel was perfect for our stay. The breakfast was delicious. In addition to the cold buffet which included smoked salmon, a selection of cheeses, guacamole, fruits, vegetables, breads, cereals and many other things, you could also choose from their hot food menu. The courtyard was very peaceful and beautiful but you could also choose to eat indoors. The swimming pool was great as well. The temperature was very comfortable and when the pool wasn’t busy we could do some short laps. The rooms were so comfortable and peaceful (blackout blinds, thermostat, and comfortable beds) that we adjusted easily to the 9 hour time difference at the start of our European journey. We would definitely stay at Le Burgundy again!
