Vanuatu Kid friendly Vacations

Absoutely terrible! Kayaks unavailable, despite being advertised. Half the breakfast items available! Made to move rooms, two power outages, no WiFi. Completely disappointed. No compensation offered.

We liked: The absolute oceanfront 2 bed room huge unit. It has been decorated nicely with very comfy furniture and island style furnishings. The kitchen is well-equipped and clean. The large fridge/freezer. Birdies, the restaurant is a great place for a stay-in dinner. The resort has a nice feel to it with lots tropical planting around to give each unit privacy. There is a small but clean swimming pool right next to the restaurant. Snorkelling is amazing off the jetty is just amazing with a variety of fish ( just as good as Top Rock). We discovered: - the main shower/bathroom is not very clean. Hand wash liquid finished within a day and not replenished after their housekeeping ( which is every 3 days). - the washing machine was full of mould and obviously hasn’t had a clean st all. It was absolutely disgusting! - bedding/sheets/towels have stains on them. Overall, we are still happy with our over $500NZ night stay for 4 of us.

Some staff are fantastic- Moana (guest services), ian (trainee- bar), anna (restaurant). Some staff are fake to the max (hello ruby). Reception is the worst experience of the entire stay- checking out - check the bill. Infinity spa: nice massage & facial. Fantastically quiet. Breakfast: buffet. Lots of sugary or fatty choices. The chai, quinoa and oats were delicious. Fruit choices include local fruits. Try them! Lot there were boiled eggs. Lunch & Dinner: from 10/10 to 7/10. The share platter with beetroot dip- yes! Sensational!! Accomodation: spread out over the island. This can be an issue for anyone with mobility issues or children. Walking to breakfast, lunch or dinner could feel like a trek depending on where you stay. It would be wonderful to have a pick up service or a “train” that drives around the island. People who are fit won’t have any dramas. Snorkellers cove: great fish. Where’s the coral? The platform can be hard to get back on from the water. The bars are way too far apart. Sunset bar: great pools. Rubbishy food. Boat transport to & from island: magnificent. Great customer service.

We were a couple in our 50’s. We had a lagoon view villa, the room was clean, a bit dated. Had a safe, decent water pressure in the shower and a bath. The toilet door did not close and had no lock, weird but a non issue for us. Would have been nice to have wine glasses and bottle opener, maybe a plate and a knife so we could enjoy snack on our deck. But we made do. Has a swim up bar and a few pools. They looked nice but too many screaming kids, we felt should not have been allowed in the bar area. Buffet dinner $35 each was pretty good, lots of variety and themed nights. Buffet breakfast was free with the room, also very good. Enjoyed the fire show. There is a gym and kayaks, snorkelling is great. Take water shoes, you don’t want to step on the starfish or sea cucumber or sea snakes. It would have been nice to have a buggy service to the front gate, it’s far to walk in the heat. The staff were a mixture of helpful and rude. Most appeared to not enjoy their job and a simple request was too much trouble. The property is huge and is great for families and golfers. But not if you would prefer a smaller more intimate location. We enjoyed our stay but would not stay again. 7/10
