I don't normally expect a lot from a hotel for me to be happy to return.
The plus for this hotel is its location.
However, that also means that it is very noisy at night on weekends especially.
The hotel is clean to a satisfactory level. Although looking under my bed, the collection of dust suggests it could be more thorough.
The staff are disinterested.And the front desk is not staffed all hours.
I had small items such as phone charging cables vanish. But obviously with no front desk to raise this with it was hard to dispute.
Breakfast buffet selection was minimal.
The property is kept running at a basic level. Things done to keep things running, rather than to make things comfortable/convenient for guests.
I'd not stay here again

I stayed at this 5-star hotel in Sarandë, Albania, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. The hotel itself is very big, beautiful, and has a lot of potential, but the management and organization are far below the standard expected from a 5-star property.
From the moment we arrived, we noticed problems. We were given only one room card even though there were two people staying in the room, which is very inconvenient. The room also did not have a smart TV, only a basic television, which does not match the expectations of a 5-star hotel.
The communication with reception was one of the biggest issues. Every time we tried to call reception from our room, the line was always busy, and we could not reach them when we needed help. We had to go downstairs every time to ask for assistance. When we asked staff questions, we often did not receive clear or accurate answers, which made the service feel unprofessional.
For such a large hotel, having only one elevator is completely insufficient. Guests have to wait a long time, especially during busy hours. The hotel is not well prepared for the number of guests it accommodates.
The breakfast was also a major disappointment and definitely not at the level expected from a 5-star hotel. The choices were very limited and did not offer the quality or variety that guests expect from this category of hotel. When the breakfast area becomes crowded, there are not enough comfortable places to sit, and guests may end up sharing tables

Unbeatable Convenience & Spacious Rooms, But Room for Process Improveme
I stayed at the Tirana Airport Hotel, and the standout feature is hands-down the convenience factor. You literally walk right out of the airport terminal, stroll straight through the taxi stand, and the hotel is right there—zero need to arrange or pay for a cab after a flight.
A few details to note from my stay:
Location & Walkability: Perfect for travelers needing proximity. It could not be easier to reach on foot right after landing.
Check-in Experience: We experienced a delay during check-in because crew members (pilots/flight attendants) were given priority over guests who were already waiting in line. While I completely understand and respect professional courtesy for flight crews, this wasn't explained to us at the time, which led to some initial confusion and frustration. Clear communication from the front desk here would go a long way.
The Room: I'm not sure if there are newer vs. older wings, but our room felt relatively bland in terms of style and decor. That said, it was extremely comfortable and massive—more than accommodating enough for the four of us to stay comfortably.
Breakfast: The morning breakfast spread was great—traditional options, incredible fresh juices, and classic cafe selections to start the day.
Overall, it offers decent value for what you pay, purely driven by the top-tier location and sheer space. I would stay here again for a layover or quick airport transition!

Front desk was very kind and hotel was clean. The location was absolutely perfect!! But for the cost the air conditioning was unacceptable. We went to the desk to question it and were told it’s contracted to 5 other rooms… apparently one of them had heat on. On a 96 degree day it was somewhat miserable. Had we been there more than 1 one night I’d have probably switched locations. The staff was aware of the issue and very nice about it but we weren’t moved or compensated in anyway for the inconvenience. So as long as your stay isn’t in the summer I highly recommend… otherwise could be a hot one.
