Aldeburgh Vacations from $727

We're huge Novotel fans but this was by far our least favourite stay of many. The building is very dated and old. There is a £4 charge to get to the hotel from the Airport, so you'll be spending £16 extra when travelling as a couple. Reception was standard, nothing special. Would not return to this particular Novotel, I'd rather spend a bit more and get my moneys worth.

Property was nice enough, and the breakfast was good. The pancake maker was a highlight for our children. Only downside was the noise at night. We were a family of four and the family rooms are in the orchard wing, but this must be where they also put the large groups of lads on golf weekends/stag do’s because at 1am, presumably after the bar shut the party moved upstairs and the walls are very thin. We had to call down to reception and by about 2am they did come up and the noise stopped. I definitely wouldn’t risk going again as a family on a weekend.

Our stay was fine and the breakfast is very good. However we were very disappointed to have to pay for parking. I understand that the hotel may wish to charge non-residents, but I think it's unreasonable to charge residents £8 to park (also considering our stay was about 12 hours).

Hotel was spotlessly clean. Friendly and helpful staff.

Sadly the hotel is very tired. Our room was rather cold on arrival, however there 2 electric heaters than were neede yo be put on to make the room warm enough. The state of the carpets on our floor were awful full of unpleasant looking staines. However the staff were pleasant and helpfull Overpriced for the very poor condition of the hotel
