Every single staff member was warm and welcoming. The hotel is well-maintained and the room was very clean. The Japanese toilet in the room was a nice amenity, and toiletries were also available on the bathroom counter. The bed was comfortable and I like the different lighting options you can use. The pool was my favorite feature of the hotel. It's on the roof where you can also access the spa. The pool and hot tub are connected so you can easily switch from one to the other. It's a small, shallow pool, so there is no diving and not much room to swim - all you can pretty much do is just float in the pool, which is really all you need. The hotel is a block away from a park/garden and a couple of blocks away from the marina. Everything is walkable. The front desk staff were very helpful. They gave me great suggestions for restaurants, shopping, and even helped me reserve a taxi tour of the island. I will definitely be staying here again.

Hat man ein Zimmer im 3. Stock ist die Aussicht überwältigend und wohl die beste auf Faial. Auf der Hauptstraße, am Hafen, bei den Bars & Restaurants ist man in drei Minuten, insofern geniale Lage. Pool: sauber, neue Sonnenschirme und kleine Poolbar ab 11. Aber: das Hotel bedarf einer grundlegenden Sanierung in den Innenbereichen und Zimmern. Sehr unangenehmer Geruch aus der Klimaanlage. Egal zu welcher Zeit man frühstückt, die Rühr- oder Spiegeleier sind immer lauwarm bis kalt und der Frühstücksraum immer voll, bei genervtem Personal, das beim Abräumen nicht hinterherkommt. Und man sollte vor der Buchung bedenken, dass nur in diesem Hotel auf Faial größere Reisegruppen unterkommen, insofern hat man täglich eine andere Busladung von Gästen, die zwei Tage bleiben und dann durch die nächste Busladung ersetzt werden.

Eigentlich eine schöne Unterkunft, allerdings müsste sie mehr gepflegt werden. In der Beschreibung war eigentlich eine Terrasse und eine Klimaanlage erwähnt. Beides gab es leider nicht.
