Great relaxing escape to nature!
We had a great quiet weekend exploring local state land and retreating to our cozy cabin. Highly recommend for great hosts and a great location for adventures!

Chehalis Getaway
From the initial winding, wooded drive to this secluded spot to my final walk on the trails down to swim in the river, this was the most wonderful, relaxing three day weekend I've experienced in a long time! The property had all I needed for my stay. The bed was so comfortable, and I had everything to cook my meals there the entire time. I did wish there was a sofa (instead of the two chairs) for watching TV late at night, but that's just my preference ;) I loved having my coffee next to the big window, looking out into the woods, and hearing NOTHING but the occasional bird song. And the outdoor shower... what a heavenly treat! Thank you for providing the thick robe to wear after showering, too. Although it was too warm to use the chiminea, I enjoyed the sitting area behind the shower. It was a nice spot for evening drinks with the lights. Thank you for sharing your place!

Chehalis river weekend
We had a wonderfull stay. We played on the river during the day and enjoyed a few movies in the Cabin after hours. There is a white noise device so you can go to sleep to the sound of rain and thunder 😉

Charming Farm Getaway
Enjoyed our weekend getaway at this clean and tidy cabin with a lovely view of the pond. Made good use of the hand-drawn map of trails around the property and enjoyed a comfy bed to sleep in at the end of the day. Quiet and secluded. Would love to return in the fall and use the wood burning stove. Thank you!

Enjoyed our stay very much. Hosts are wonderful. Only complaint is..if you park in front of Cabin you will have red sap from the tree above all over your vehicle..pull further forward to avoid this. Car wash does take care of the mess.

I loved the beauty of the trees and seclusion. It was very clean and comfortable. The outside shower was very nice with the robes to walk out in. Downside was that the entrance door was not at all secure and it could be pushed opened because it did not latch at all. That really surprised me that the only securement was the inside chain. Then the odor coming from the bathroom drain was terrible when I was brushing my teeth.

Peace and quiet
We loved how quiet it was the entire time. We work 50 he weeks so being able to come out here and just shut everything off was absolutely perfect. I had never used an outside shower before so this was my first time and I loved it. We got to escape for about 3 days and I couldn’t of asked for a better place to escape too!

Romance for the wild at heart
Beautiful unique home off the beaten path. This home has been well cared for. We showered outside in the rain and the snow. Hiked throughout the many paths on the property. Navigated to the river, hunted for rocks. Cooked a couple great meals and relaxed by the fire. Plenty of wood and an easy to use stove. We will be back when fishing is open and the river is a little lower. Ps. No WIFI so if you care about that, stay in the city. This place is one of a kind!

Peace and Quiet
This property was exactly what was advertised! It was a great place to be, with easy access to city's and town within 15 miles. The host, Lori and Joe were very pleasant people and they accommodated us in every way that we needed. It was a joy to stay there, and we had everything in the unit to use, including a bunch of movies. If you are looking to disconnect from a busy city life, this is the place.

Fabulous property in a wonderful location
There are too many good things about this property and our stay here to go into. Lorie was a delightful hostess and I look forward to coming back. Comfy bed, awesome outdoor shower, hiking,biking and swimming.

This is THE place to stay if you are in the Chehallis area. The little cabin has everything you would need for your stay and more. The outdoor shower really adds to the experience! They also provide a map for some walking trails you can enjoy. There is a river nearby where fishing, floating, and relaxing can be done. We will definitely be looking to visit again!

Hidden Nature Oasis
It was better than I expected, but at the same time, just what I was hoping for. The cabin is perfectly tucked away in a canopy of trees next to a pond. It does share the property with the owners, but we hardly noticed them. When we did meet them by the river they were friendly and even offered to bring my SUP board down to the river for us on their quads. Bull frogs and birds serenaded us the whole time. The bed way comfy. We were happy to make use of the fridge, coffee pot with supplied coffee and filters, microwave, BBQ, seasonings and foil on hand, the outdoor shower (which was a very nice touch) and we watched a few movies. We rode our bikes on the trails they had carved out on their property. It was so nice to not have to leave for entertainment, there was plenty for us right there. We very much needed this relaxing get away. Thank you for hosting this little oasis of yours.

Loved the location of the property. Access to Chehalis river a short walk. Wandering around all the trails on the property was an unexpected treat. Outdoor shower and wood burning stove were amenities we've never had the pleasure of enjoying. Host was very knowledgeable and fun to talk with.

Quiet retreat in beautiful setting!
Really fun and relaxing get-away in the woods! We enjoyed walking on the miles of trails, the wood fire, and all the peace and quiet. The outdoor shower was quite comfortable, private and added a fun, exotic twist. Highly recommend!

Rural escape
Simple, clean cabin. The Willipa Hills Trail is directly accessible from the property. The Willipa Hills trail is relatively flat, being an old rail road grade; it passes through miles and miles of farmland with lots of bridges along the way to peek over at various creeks and the Chehalis River. Hosts were very responsive to our queries, but not invasive. This is a great place to unplug and get away. Outdoor shower is great, and there are numerous trails on the the property to explore. Will recommend to our friends.

So Awesome!!
Could not asked for a better spot to spend a few days relaxing and soaking up nature's beauty. Hiking, biking, fishing, paddle boarding and amazing interactions with forest creatures. This place has it all right out the front door. The owners Joe and Lori are super friendly and go the extra mile to make sure there guest have a wonderful experience.

Relax and Unplug!
Remote - and a step up from camping - we were delighted with our stay! Be prepared for no Wifi - and VERY limited network coverage, although there are a couple of sweet spots. Bring books or games! - although there is a great selection of DVDs. Our kids thought we'd died somewhere - so be sure to notify loved ones - if you need to check in - before you head out of Chehalis. Love, love, loved the trails and wildlife. And it was SO quiet. Definitely a perfect place to relax and unplug!

Nature retreat.
Loved this property for its absolutely charming cabin and its location surrounded by nature. Perfect spot to stay at for an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. If you like solitude surrounded by nature this is your spot. If you want a charming place to rest at after a busy day of recreation this is your spot too. If you rely on connection to the internet or tv not your best choice. For me 5 stars.

Beautiful property & cute cabin
Wonderful stay for our anniversary weekend, loved the cabin, all of the walking trails on the property were lovely. Cabin was well equipped with lots of small needs anticipated, like a usb wall charger and a mosquito repellent device. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Linemans cabin at Willaway to anyone!

Not Fancy...but perfect!
My husband and I stayed 2 nights, and had a great time at this cute little cabin. Our biggest trepidations after booking were: no A/C, and no indoor bathing facilities. Neither proved to be an issue. Despite the record heat, between cooling down at the river (facilitated by our generous hosts that assisted us immensely hauling us and our gear to and fro!) and use of strategic fans in the cabin...we stayed very comfortable. As for bathing, the super cute outdoor shower turned out to be one of our favorite memories! We were treated to a "concert" while we showered the first night...a mama Great Horned Owl and her owlets were having quite the discussion. We loved it all, and plan to return when we can make use of the wood stove!

Perfect Getaway to a beautiful outdoorsy hideaway
We loved all the personal touches on this rustic cabin in the woods. We spend our days exploring the woods, lounging by the river and walking in the miles of wooded trails that cut through this huge property. We spent our evenings by the campfire, listening to the bullfrogs, and relaxing! The host had just put in a great little outdoor, private shower, which we appreciated after a day of tent camping on our way there. Next time we'll bring out bikes and/or kayaks!

I simply cannot recommend this place enough. My boyfriend and I stayed here over Valentines weekend and had an amazing time. The hosts, Lorie and Joe, could not have been more accommodating. We had booked the placed 6 weeks prior, so little did we know that a weird, freak snow storm was to hit the day we were to check in. They offered to pick us up at nearby store, before the steep hills, to finish our trek there. Once there, we found the place to be much more spacious than it looks on the photos and it’s super adorable. Firewood was already lined up near the fire place (and they have much more just out side). You can’t tell from the pictures, but in addition to their big TV, they also have a DVD player as well as a selection of 30 or more DVDs, and they are all really good movies. We’ve read some reviews complaining about WiFi or whatever, but we wanted to get away. In the middle of a snow storm, we were still able to easily to receive and send calls and texts, which is all that’s important if you are trying to get away. Joe and Lorie saw us struggling in the snow our first day there (again, this crazy snow weather nobody really saw coming), and offered us some snow shoes. We walked around their property as well as the Willapa trail which cuts through their property. We observed some awesome wildlife in our two days, especially with it being weirdly cold for the time of year, including deer, ducks, and frogs. We really can’t say enough positive things about this place and the hosts. We would absolutely recommend. Plus their kitchen appliance selection is actually bigger than they state. Full size fridge/freezer, coffee pot, microwave, electric griddle, electric kettle, hot plate, and their oversized toaster oven/air fryer combo that’s big enough to fit a frozen pizza in. TL/DR: Awesome place hosted by cool people who will do everything they can to help you have a good time.

Peaceful getaway
This cabin was the perfect spot for a much needed weekend away from it all. I was seeking some quiet alone time and a little space from the kids and hubby after nearly a year cooped up in the house. I was able to Read, walk in nature and listen to the birds and frogs! The wood stove was so relaxing and comforting. A truly restorative spot- I will definitely return, perhaps even make it a yearly weekend for myself!

Cozy getaway
This was our second visit - first was in summer. My wife and I loved the wood stove now that it's cold. Cabin was nicely prepared on arrival. Host is attentive but not intrusive. We'll be back!

Great cabin!
We rented the cabin for the opening weekend of deer season. The wood stove was great after being out all day. The bed was comfy enough to make it difficult to get out of bed early! We would definitely rent again!

Relaxing, amazing weekend!
We had the best weekend! The cabin was clean and cozy! We adventured around the property spotting deer and munching on yummy wild blackberries! The owners son helped us get our paddle boards down to the river for a day of sun, relaxation and isolation! Just my husband and I out on the water! Owner was very responsive but all so gave us our space to relax! This is a must stay! We will be back!!

Tranquil
Had a great time at the place. It's very clean and comfortable. Loved the historic windows and wood paneling. The river is an easy walk away for floating and relaxing, and there are plenty of neat spots around the property. Cell phone worked decently for hot spot. It was a little frustrating to see the owner's internet but not have access, but the listing is clear about no internet. The property is about 400-500 yards past its location on Google Maps. Overall, the pics are accurate and it's very tranquil, and Lorie was great about communication.

A peaceful time on the river
We so enjoyed our time at the cabin! The property is lush and the river is so close. We spent most of our time at the river and they were kind enough to let us stay parked on their property after we checked out so we could squeeze in some more river time before heading home.

Very cozy, on lovely walkable property. The walking/biking path was great for a run or stroll. Easy access to riverbank. Hosts were attentive and eager to please. We'll return!
