Great place to stay!!
This was our families second stay at Recovery room, this time for Christmas and we had a wonderful time! Steve the owner is a very nice man and he makes sure that you have everything you need for your stay. The cabin is so warm & welcoming and has the feel of long time family history. You can't beat the location and the beautiful views and wildlife through the many windows. We will definitely be back again. Thank you Steve!

Rocky Mountain Paradise
This spot was everything we’d hoped for. House was comfy and clean. The views, the stars and the solitude were something special. Trail to the park was nearby and well marked. Visits by elk and deer daily. Owners were helpful and immediately attended to a small problem we had. We were so glad we stayed at the Recovery Room and hope to again soon.

Perfect location
So nice and quiet away from downtown traffic. Near RMNP and the nearby hiking paths are great. Saw lots of elk inside YMCA grounds. Accommodations were great, beds comfortable, lots of games, beautiful views. Very well stocked.

Wonderful vacation home
This wonderful vacation home had ample room for five adults and two kiddos under five. We enjoyed being closer to nature as well as being able to enjoy each other’s company. I loved driving into the town and enjoying the sights as well as being so close to the hiking in the Rockies which we did with our little ones. The stay was definitely relaxing and rejuvenating. Additionally we were able to do some cooking and baking together. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, bakeware and dishes/dinnerware of all kinds. It was just the perfect spot to reconnect with each other!

Great getaway!
We loved staying at the Recovery Room. Very comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. Saw and heard bugling elk, mule deer and turkeys on the property. The night sky was incredible! Even some toys and books for my little grandson. We had a great time.

Perfect 3-generation family gathering.... just perfect
Six of us ranging from 67 to 1 years old. Perfect family gathering. Deer, elk, forest, proximity to the national park. Just take awesome walks right out the front door. Quite, simple, easy, and a super owner, very responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back, year after year!

Family vacation
The cabin was absolutely perfect for our family get together! The views out the windows alone were incredible and thoroughly enjoyed the patio!! We listened to elk bugle at night and captured the stars around the Milky away.. cooked several meals and had everything we needed. Thank you Steve for such a wonderful place to get away from it all!!

Estes Park Getaway Cabin on the YMCA Grounds
The cabin is spacious with 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The surrounding area is very beautiful and quiet. Great place to stay with friends and family. The owner was very responsive with any questions I had. Our only challenge was a problem with wasps which the owner took care of within 24 hours, and we could not get the TV to connect but we were not there to watch TV so that was ok. I would recommend this cabin for your week getaway.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this amazing property. The house itself suited our needs perfectly and accommodated our party of 4 adults and 2 children very comfortably. The views from the large deck were stunning, and being able to access park trailheads directly from the property was absolutely ideal. We loved every minute of our stay, and will definitely be back!

Perfect Stay
Property was as expected. We had a great time in the Estes Park/RMNP area. This cabin provided a great launching point to many of the area attractions. It also provided a relaxing environment for recovering from the days activities. The views from the porch were relaxing and we enjoyed the wildlife that shared the property with us. Would recommend staying here.

Exceeded our expectations
Steve’s cabin was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The children loved the swing in the backyard as well as plenty of open space to explore and play. We have rented several VRBO cabins and this one by far has been our favorite and most well-stocked. It was like staying at a friend’s house while they were away.

Fantastic Mountain Getaway!
This property was great! An awesome location in the YMCA of the Rockies and super close to downtown Estes Park and RMNP. Check-in was seamless and the home was very well-stocked with everything for the kitchen, tons of linens, hiking gear (poles/backpacks/jackets) and a variety of games and puzzles. The views were beautiful and we saw many elk, deer, hummingbirds, and even a mama + baby moose in the yard! Our kids loved the swing out back and hiking around the property. It was the perfect size for our family of 8–5 adults and 3 kids. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Estes!!

The Recovery Room Rocks!
The cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It's not fancy but its definitely been modernized. It's a mountain cabin so it should be casual and comfortable which it certainly is! . It has everything you could possibly need. You can just relax here. The views are beautiful! It's so well appointed. We weren't lacking for anything. They even have spare jackets and hiking sticks if you are not prepared for the weather. Lots of room to spread out so you don't have to be right on top of each other. The area is beautiful and the YMCA has some fun activities if you choose to participate. We did indoor climbing. The instructors were great. Beds are comfortable. Owner Steve is great. He responded immediately with the one question I texted to him. They take pride in this home and you can tell they love it and it is a family home. It is really clean and has so many nice touches like the little "museum" of artifacts downstairs and the fun games and books. We don't have children but there is a great area downstairs for kids and tons of games, puzzles and books for them. So to sum it up I give the Recovery Room a 10 out of 10! You should stay there!!

Nice cabin, great location.
Cabin was spacious and fairly well equipped. Overall the cabin was clean and comfortable. The hiking trails were great and the access to YMCA was wonderful for our kids. Only two negative points: 1) Guests are expected to clean dishes and put away...we found many dirty dishes upon arrival (although they were put away, so we just washed anything before we used it); 2) The beautiful wrap around deck is needing a little TLC as we had to watch the nails sticking up when the kids were out there).

We are at the mercy & trust of our guests to properly clean dishes. The nails sticking up on the deck are the heads of the nails, though they have been pounded down, they will work back up. . .it's on the list. We invest in the home every year, having spent over $10,000 in upgrades so far this year. We will never be perfect but will try!

3 generation family vacation
I stayed in this property with my husband two young children and my parents. The property location was excellent with amazing views out of every window and close proximity to downtown Estes Park. We saw countless elk, wild turkey, deer, and even a moose right from the living room! The house had everything you would need including a decent amount of kitchen supplies. The property was immaculate, though there was a few small things that the host communicated with us ahead of time, but these had no impact on our enjoyment of the property, but it was nice to be notified in advance! We also just had a slight glitching communication, because I was texting with our host, but the number provided had a typo in it so I wasn't receiving any responses! It wasn't until the last day that I realized the phone number posted in our messages on this app didn't match the phone number posted on the refrigerator but it wasn't a big deal is it weren't really any issues to communicate.

Breathtaking Views
Communication with owner was great. Couldn’t ask for a better location. Easy to access through the Y of the e Rockies- semi secluded from most other cabins- plenty of wildlife - beautiful Mountain View’s. Home is older but well maintained and stocked with everything you would need: full kitchen, extra towels, games, toys, books, hiking bags, binoculars. Excellent stay for my family of 6!

Mountain Family Vacation
Great house for a larger family; beautiful view - enjoyed morning coffee and reading on the deck. Also enjoyed the hiking trails within the area. Easy to get to area attractions like the RMNP and main street Estes Park. Kids loved the toys & games! We also appreciated the "extras" in the fridge and pantry. Felt like we were at home!

Recover at the Recovery Room
This property is wonderful! We needed to Recover at the Recovery Room. The cabin was super comfortable and in a private location very close to the YMCA. Very quiet! Thankfully the smoke cleared from California and we saw lots of stars. The owner Steve was accommodating and just an overall nice guy. We could walk right out the door to hike around the Y trails or directly into the park! Great experience!

Great stay!
This property is the perfect mix of rustic/secluded and comfortable/clean. There was great overall communication from the owner and the check-in was extremely easy. Our family really enjoyed the great views from the deck as well as hiking/wildlife viewing right out our cabin door. Would definitely recommend! Only minutes from downtown Estes Park, restaurants, shopping, RMNP and other activities.

True recovery room this year
We’ve stayed two years in a row and have so many great things to say. Steve has done a tremendous job making the cabin a getaway. It’s quiet and secluded, and nature is literally right outside the door. Wildlife was plentiful. I enjoyed a sunrise hike up Emerald Mountain and was back in time for breakfast. Based on Steve’s recommendation, we had an amazing meal at Bird and Jim. We hope to return again next year.

Great Location, nice house, communication could be better
Very nice location among the woods. Home is nice overall, main level is very good with 1 bedroom and living room/kitchen. 3 of the 4 bedrooms are at the lower level though, 2 of them with tiny windows. Responses from the property manager are slow.

Second Time Around
Our family stayed at Recovery Room in summer 2020, and we loved it so much we had to come back! I was thrilled to see the cabin available again this year and didn't think twice about booking it again. This place has it all - clean, cozy, and quiet! There is plenty of space outdoors for the kids to run around and explore, and plenty of room inside to enjoy time together or to relax in your own space. I would recommend this to anybody and everybody that is planning on traveling to the area.

Mountain Recovery Retreat
I had the opportunity to take my family out to enjoy the Mountains and continue the memories I have as a child. This place did not disappoint! Quiet, secluded, wild life and breathtaking views! Comforts of home also. We only went out to dinner one time because we had everything we needed right here. Thank you for helping us make wonderful memories!

Restful Reboot
We enjoyed our stay at the Recovery Room. The check in and check out process was very easy. Steve provided excellent restaurant recommendations. Follow the written directions and paper map for the best directions rather than relying on GPS. We had no difficulty locating the property. For the cooks, the kitchen is very well equipped. We made most of our meals at the house. There is plenty of space to spread out, the floor plan is well laid out. There is no need to bring additional blankets, the owners have an abundance of them. The temperature of the house was comfortable and easily controlled by electric in each area. It's a peaceful place to relax, view wildlife and hike yet close to Estes Park.

Much needed family time
Our family had an amazing experience staying at the "Recovery Room" We were there for Thanksgiving and to visit an aunt. The location and cleanliness were fantastic. The cabin worked well for our size of group which was 6. We never turned on a television except for Thanksgiving day for football. We got to experience the snow and sledding as well as some hiking. We will be visiting again and will not hesitate to reach out and rent this cabin again. Steve has been very easy to work with and all his help is much appreciated.
