The goal of our cabin is to give guests an up-close view of life on a farm :). The cabin is on the edge of our active family farm, and directly beside the dairy goat barn. We have a small herd of miniature goats you are welcome to visit with - chances are, they'll reach their heads over the fence for a pet :). Our livestock dog lives with the goats, and you will hear her bark. (We provide ear plugs in case of night time barking). The goats love visitors, so please let us know if you want to take part in the farming, or just give treats :). We are also happy to have our guests take part in some of the farm activities. Bring your sense of adventure, but please do not book if you will be bothered by goat sounds, a dog barking or rooster crowing! We want you to be happy wherever you stay! The cabin has a driveway to the front door and is accessible by 3 stairs onto the porch. It's perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring and listening to the quiet sounds of the country. We have found that our guests are interested in having some local amenities available upon check-in. We love to make our guests comfortable, so have put together a variety of packages for you to select from upon confirmation of reservation. (If you'd like to see the packages ahead of time, please just send us a message here). There is NO SMOKING on the property, inside or outside. On the main level of the cabin, you will find a kitchenette (compact oven, microwave, coffee pot, refrigerator and sink), dining/living area, the bedroom and bathroom. There is also a loft with an additional full size bed, accessed by a sturdy ladder. Please note that the cabin is on the edge of the woods, and you may encounter wildlife while here :). Early check-in is available upon request and scheduling availability. Relax in our cozy and comfortable cabin located on a small, family run dairy goat farm! As noted by the owners this place is for you if you’ll love being on a small family farm so of course there are chickens and goats and dogs and a horse, etc.; it’s awesome. It's beautiful place overall and our cabin was charming. Diana went above and beyond to make the cabin inviting and comfortable. It was spotless. The well-equipped kitchen and excellent bathroom were a pleasure to use. Our queen bed was very comfortable, as was the loft bed, which we also tested Her extra touches - like great local coffee and a grinder - added much to our experience. We enjoyed watching the lovely horses, goats and livestock guard dogs in the pasture above our cabin around their nice barn. Visited Floyd, VA this past weekend for a wedding and chose to stay in this sweet little cabin. The directions upon arrival were spot on and made it easy to find the cabin. When we arrived the cabin was clean and ready to go for us! It was fun to see the chickens and goats, and best of all was their oh-so-friendly dog, Zora! The owner greeted us and was super kind, she reassured us that if we needed anything just to let her know.
