• I found the Shepherds Inn staff neither gracious nor accommodating. A week before my visit, they sent me an email stating that they could not give me the room I booked and they would rather I cancel rather than be disappointed. • I decided to keep the booking and arranged an airport pick up. • They responded that someone would be waiting at the exit with a sign with my name. However when I arrived, no one was there. I waited 20 minutes and finally a kind person offered to call the in. He did so and they finally sent a taxi. • When I got to the hotel to register, the women behind the counter were not at all welcoming. Curt and business like but nothing like everyone else I met in TT. • The room was nice, has a small fridge but lacks amenities like a microwave or typical toiletries like shampoo, body wash, or lotion. There's a coffee maker but only tea and hot chocolate on offer, no coffee or creamer. You have to get ice at the bar when it's open. • Dinner at the hotel's restaurant was good and the waitstaff was very nice. Tamara was especially friendly and welcoming. The ribs were good. Junior, the chef, prepared a barracuda I caught earlier that day. He created a delicious coconut curry with breadfruit just for me. Excellent. • However, breakfast was cold scrambled eggs, raw bacon, and warm milk for bargain brand cereal. • My room was next to a lot with a livestock so every morning at 4:30 a rooster starts crowing and continues until at least 7 • Spotty internet • Room 7
