Nice place!
Everything is as it is listed. Not having an AC was not a problem, but it would have been nice to have a real stove/oven. The pool was a great bonus. The hosts were very nice and made sure we had what we needed.

Perfect place!
Lovely hosts and beautiful accommodations! The outdoor area with the pool was as beautiful as anywhere in the island. And the indoor area was super clean and perfect. Our hosts gave welcoming treats to start our stay. They also offered all kinds of gear for any kind of outdoor activity - snorkeling, boogie boards, fun noodles, beach chairs and more! We had such a nice getaway and this place was ideal. We toured so many different parts of the island and were always happy to come back each evening to our “home away from home.” Could not have been better!

We had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse. More than comfortable for a couple. The guesthouse itself was comfortable and well equipped and we had access to a beautiful backyard and pool plus a side yard for breakfast and bbqing. Rick and Suzie were excellent hosts- very friendly and communicative- would definitely recommend

This property was absolute perfection! Love, love, love the neighborhood - great morning walks. Suzie and Rick were beyond hospitable. The comfort of the bed was second to none and the outside sitting areas were enjoyed daily - the bird sounds were great! We WILL go back there and would recommend this accomodation to anyone!

The property is spacious and clean, with very nicely kept backyard. The property is very well stocked and Suzie even provided beach charis and snorkeling equpments. Oh and the internet was very fast as well. An amazing stay - highly recommended!

Lovely place with great hosts
We had a lovely time at Suzie and Rick’s place. They were great hosts and very accommodating. The place was great, we had everything we needed and the yard is amazing. Spent a lot of time in the pool or bbq-ing. definitely would come back. Wifi is a bit weak (if you work remotely) but works fine for Netflix and stuff.

Wonderful vacation rental
The space was just as advertised. It was really great. The house is well laid out and has very comfortable furniture. The little pool was so nice - a nice way to cool off. It got sun throughout the day, but there was always a shady spot to sit and enjoy the outdoors. The neighborhood is residential and quiet. Rick and Susie were very welcoming and available if we had any questions.

Very nice one bedroom apartment, with pool right outside the door. Host provided extras, such as beach equipment, information about island activities, etc. Great location for exploring the Big Island.

The BEST Vrbo Stay – Book it!
Suzie and Rick were phenomenal hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at their home in Kailua-Kona. It's a beautiful, clean, bright garden level apartment with access to a perfectly manicured and landscaped backyard with private swimming pool. What more can you ask for? The apartment was clean and spacious. We slept so so well at this Vrbo––which never happens. The bed was comfy and the sound of the frogs soothe you to sleep. The neighborhood and location are a 10/10 as well – super close to Kona, restaurants, action but in a relaxing neighborhood in the hills. If this ones available it's a must book!

Perfect and Private! Can’t wait to come again!
This was a delightful experience to stay at this very nice apartment. Everything was just right and all the items you need to cook and enjoy a Island visit. Suzie was so accommodating and the pool was perfect to cool off. Loved the salt water pool. She made everything so nice and it was such a nice private back yard with BBQ and poolside furniture. It was just right for my wife and I to visit for the week. Be sure to have a car since it’s a few miles away from town but the stores are close.

36th wedding Anniversary
We really enjoyed our stay at the home, Fred and Sally both greated us and showed us the property, the grounds are just beautiful and all of the flowers were blooming. The pool was nice for a relaxing soak after a long day of sight seeing and shopping. The home had all the amenities you'd find in your own home, very comfortable and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay here very much.

Private sanctuary
Let’s start with what you get, a beautifully landscaped private yard and pool all to yourself. A private shady side yard with your own bbq, your own covered parking spot and laundry facilities in carport shed. Now for what you don’t get, travel mugs imperative for keeping drinks cold and covered by the pool or on the beach or keeping that Kona coffee hot! Straws, Kleenex, dish cloth (you’re given a sponge) laundry basket, and no handheld shower head, the one that is in there reminds me of old public pool showers😕 If you’re a gourmet chef this kitchen probably isn’t for you but if you want to prepare simple meals you’ll find everything you need. The bed is a comfortable king sized bed however is is shorter than ours at home so if you’re 6 feet tall or more you might not find it as comfortable. The living room couch is surprisingly comfortable and plenty of channels to keep you entertained and informed. Despite a few inconveniences this place is fabulous and the owners upstairs are fantastic to deal with! Hope this info helps.

Stayed here 9 nights for my honeymoon. Property is clean, close to downtown/coast highway, and comes equipped with everything you need. Suzie and Rick go the extra mile to make sure you feel right at home when staying here. Recommend to any couple!

Couples Winter Getaway
My husband and I had an amazing time during our visit to Kona! The accommodations provided by Suzie and Rick were exceptional and perfect for a couple looking to be the winter blues. The Ohana was close to all the excellent restaurants, shops, close to excellent coffee shops and island fun. They made our stay feel like home for our short seven days in Hawaii. We hope to visit The big Island again and if we do we hope Susie and Rick will allow us to be guests with them again!!!

A great location for a quiet stay yet close to activities.
quiet neighborhood close enough to beach that you can get a hike (pavement) right into the farmer's market and center of beach attractions. Property is charming, clean, up to date and roomy for 2 people. Prop mgrs are nice and very helpful. pool is beautiful. most relaxing stay I've had in some time. Definitely on ;my "come back again" list.

We loved our stay!
We throughly enjoyed our stay. Rick and Suzie are great hosts. Suzie greeted us and showed us the unit and all the amenities. The unit had everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. The unit is downstairs and opens onto a pool area and garden patio. We enjoyed our coffee and breakfast on the patio before heading out and exploring the island. Beach chairs and snorkel gear was available for when we headed to the beach. Downtown Kailua-Konawwas close by as well as easy access north or south areas of the island. We stayed for 5 days and would definitely add it to our list of places to stay when we return to the island. Mahalo Rick and Suzie!

"My sister and I truly enjoyed our time and will definitely suggest to anyone visiting the island to consider this rental. Our hosts were awesome, the home is well laid out and comfortable. The yard is like sitting in a tropical garden. Home is close to the airport and downtown and easy access to beaches and all the sights the Big Island has to offer. Highly recommend, we will be back.

All you could ask for in paradise! Private, romantic, convenient to town.
My husband I were there for 9 days for our 5th anniversary. The saltwater pool was heavenly! Smooth skin and no smell of chlorine! We did a combination of cooking in our unit, on the amazingly clean bbq, and eating out. Breakfast on our patio was heavenly! The owners have gone out of their way to have all the amenities you could need, both in the unit and for fun around the pool or at the beach. They even had a notebook of recommended restaurants, beaches, and activities on the island in the unit. The unit was spacious and very clean. Would recommend this property in a heartbeat!

Our stay with Suzie and Rick was, in a word, perfect. Not only are the hosts the warmest and most welcoming people around, their delightful property is the ideal home base for a vacation on the Big Island. Suzie and Rick provide everything you’ll need while adventuring around the many different locales of Kailua-Kona and beyond. The location of the property is easily accessible and very close to the highway (without being able to hear traffic noise), downtown shops and restaurants, grocery stores, and much more. Not only is the property central, it is beautiful and homey too! Relax in the clean and well kept pool while grilling up some dinner on the BBQ provided solely for your use. Or lounge on the lawn chairs while sipping fresh brewed coffee and listen to the morning music of the islands birds. I could go on and on but it boils down to this: if you’re coming to the Big Island for any reason whatsoever, book this property, you’ll be glad you did!

Absolutely fabulous place to stay
Cannot recommend this property highly enough. We had a really blissful stay here - it is perfectly accessible to everywhere you'd want to go but also quiet and set back from the touristy part of Kailua-Kona. Kitchen is well-appointed; scuba and beach gear is really convenient; pool is lovely; and the apartment is spotless with extra shampoo, soap, toothpaste etc. Suzie & Rick are very kind and generous and will look out for you. In a word--perfect!

The property was just like it was pictured. The garden patio was a nice place to sit and drink coffee or wine. The hosts are amazing and very responsive when you need something yet they leave you alone to enjoy your time. They were great sources of information as well regarding local sites and tours. 1st Class stay!
This property is very highly recomended indeed! The hosts Suzie and Rick are very friemdly and on site for any issues, although there wont be! The attention to detail is 1st class. The cleanliness and presenation makes rhis faultless! You will not be disappointed. Only a short drive to shops and Kona town. I hope it shows on here 5stars, it is only showing 4 when published?? Definatley a 5!!!
