Majoitus hotellissa oli mieluisa. Mukava henkilökunta, viihtyisä allasalue ja siisti ranta. Äänieristys hieman heikohko käytävältä huoneeseen, ei kuitenkaan häirinnyt, koska muiden majoittujien meteliä ei kuulunut yöllä.

Federal villa is one of two parts to Holiday Villa resort and unfortunately is the not so good half. Location is great for the price but felt our rooms were not so great. The rooms had a wet mouldy smell to it and we paid for a queen bed and received two singles pushed together with sperate sheets and covers which was not the so romantic we were hoping to get and rooms are fairly out dated. Apart from those points it is good value for money and the beach bar and swimming pool with swim up bar were a great highlight. There is a club pool which is the main selling picture of this resort but you have to pay to enter and with a great beach bar that serves reasonably priced cocktails and meals with tables on the beach to dig your feet in the sand as you have a bite to eat or a drink i found perfect. Theres a small tour desk in main foyer and they were very helpful and well priced for tours and activities. I reccomend if you don't want to venture out for breakfast to take advantage of the buffet breakfast in the resort that has a great variety of food and drinks. Lastly the staff i can not fault, they are great at thier job, efficient and so welcoming and friendly. After staying 8 nights here it was sad to leave them. I would stay here again for sure but if your one who is very particular about your room then maybe its not for you.

Strandnära med fin pool.
Hotell med fin strand, bra pool och beach bar med happy hour på kvällen. Njut av solnedgången på stranden. Nära till restauranger och barer. Rummen är rymliga men mörka med heltäckningsmatta och slitna gamla badrum. Dåligt med el-uttag på rummen (bara ett) så ta med lång sladd till mobilen. Städning och Ac funkade fint.

Great location. 15mins from airport. Staff fantastic. Good housekeeping. Staying at The Federal you get to use facilities of The Holiday Villa. Happy hours from 5pm till 9pm. The Federal accomodation is a lot cheaper so dont expect 5 star when youre paying 3 star. Great experience and would definitely return.

From the moment we checked in we were disappointed with this place. The resort is so run down it is a joke. The room was one of the worst we have stayed in although it was spacious and had a small balcony. We ordered food at the beach bar and it took almost two hours to arrive... the pool they show in the photos you actually have to pay to use even though you have already paid to stay here. You have to turn on the water to use your shower. Our toilet leaked. Next to no plugs in the rooms. Would not recommend this place.

Das Hotel „Federal Villa“ ist sehr renovierungsbedürftig und wir haben uns überhaupt nicht wohlgefühlt. Die Zimmer sind laut, alt und abgewohnt. Wir können es definitiv nicht empfehlen diese zu buchen! Ansonsten nutzt man die Einrichtungen des „Holiday Villa“. Wenn es schon dieses Hotel sein muss, dann sollte man dort sein Zimmer buchen. Großer Poolbereich, aber ohne Sonnenschirme. Die Liegen und Schirme am Strand sind auch sehr abgenutzt und kein bisschen einladend. Wir sind daher im LaVilla Poolclub gewesen (extra Eintritt für 28 Ringgit p.P.) und das war der einzige Bereich im Hotel in dem wir uns wohlgefühlt haben. Frühstück haben wir nicht dazu gebucht und wäre das Geld auch nicht wert gewesen. Direkt gegenüber des Hotels gibt es viel günstigere Frühstücksmöglichkeiten, die auch viele Gäste des Hotels nutzen.

After staying at Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur it was a downtrip to stay at this hotel in Langkawi. We first got a room that was just fine. But after a night at this room we were told that we had to move to another room in another part of the hotel because the reception had done a mistake. This room was not good at all. It smelled mold, the sheets had yellow stains, and the door to the balcony was almost impossible to open. As a "compensation" we got tickets from the manager to a poolarea that was limited- should have been open for everbody anyway in my opinion. If they first do a mistake we should at least have a good new room. Not good at all! At Royal Chulan we were upgraded for free to a premium suite on arrival, just as a nice guest because they had it available I guess. But the beach and beacharea is just fine. Also Wi-fi was good.

Beware...
I stayed in a 'Deluxe Garden Room'...plenty of garden, but certainly not deluxe. The images on the website are misrepresentative of the actual condition of the room which was dark and dingy, green mould on windows, bathroom with broken floor tiles, and dirt/mould in tile grout. Certainly NOT up to 4 star standard listed on Federal Villa's website. It is badly in need of refurbishment. A sign on the balcony doors advised not to open them in order to avoid allowing access to insects and larger unwelcome critters. Despite keeping all doors and windows closed, no amount of insect spray (that I purchased) could kill all the mosquitoes in the room, they just kept appearing. The pools, eateries, reception and other shared amenities are some distance, via garden paths, perhaps 2 to 3 minute walk, at the adjacent, sister resort Holiday Villa. After 3 nights I was able to upgrade to a room in the Holiday Villa for the remainder of my stay, albeit at an additional cost. This room was fine, modern, light, bright, spacious and insect free. On the plus side, the resort is very well located on the beach front and the pool area is as pictured, though there is an extra charge to access the infinity pool.

Excellent!
Since it was low season they offered us an upgrade (for free!) and we stayed at the Holiday Villa hotel instead. They were changing the system so we had minor issues regarding our reservation, but they solved it very politely. I would stay here again without a doubt!

Enjoyed my time very much at this resort. Staffs are friendly, allowed us late checkout at no additional charge as baby was sleeping. I would consider coming back. Absolutely loved it!

Great holiday in Lankawi
The swimming pool, the garden and the beach are really beautiful. The rooms are a bit old however as we went there only to sleep it was good. The food at the swimming pool is tasty and nicely prepared.

Outstanding pool area quiet and comfortable sunbeds. Many other areas on the property are in need of updating. Bathroom outdated and dirty, stains on carpets and curtains .

Meget slidt hotel. Mange ting på værelset virkede ikke såsom køleskab, aircondition dryppede ned på gulvtæppet så der var vådt, toilettet ville ikk skylle hver gang. Derudover lampe hvor der ikke var et stik til at sætte den til og en anden uden pærer, så ret mørkt værelse. Trods vi sagde det et par gange i receptionen blev der ikke gjort noget ved det. Lækker morgenmadsbuffet. Lækker pool. Og dejligt lige nede til stranden. Hele hotellet er slidt og det er som at træde tilbage i 70/80’erne.

Detta boende har incheckning i Holiday Villa Beach Resort & Spas reception som ligger bredvid. Detta tydliggjorde inte incheckningspersonalen så det var svårt att hitta Federal Villa Beach som bestod av fristående hus med ett antal lägenheter med balkong. De kunde inte heller berätta hur safety boxen fungerade med en resetknapp på insidan så reparatör fick komma och öppna boxen. Rummet är ganska slitet och ser inte renoverat ut på 20 år. Dock rent och med hård säng. Boendet ligger i en trädgård och jag kunde se havet och stranden från balkongen. Dagligen gjordes ”fogging” i trädgården så det fanns inte några mygg eller annat otäckt på eller utanför rummen, mera är små ödlor och exotiska fåglar i vackra färger. Stranden är vacker och ren och det finns en stor pooloch barnpooler i Holiday delen som man kan använda gratis. Det finns även en lyxigare pool vid restaurangen som kostade ca 5 USD att använda, där var det en fin havsutsikt också. Wifi tillräckligt bra för Netflix. Fin och trivsamt område och en härlig strand bar. Boendet ligger i en ganska tråkig del av Langkawi men det är ett fint och avkopplande område att vara på. Skulle kunna tänka mig att bo här igen men då i Holiday-delen.

Rigtig god beliggenhed. Værelset var ikke klar ved ankomst, selvom det var efter indtjekningstidspunktet. Ikke fedt når man har været undervejs i 24 timer. Ellers havde de god service og personalet var rigtig flinke. Rengøring var middel. Badeværelset var gammelt og ikke særlig lækkert. Hvis man skulle have mad i beachbaren var ventetiden ALT for lang.
