“It was a bit tricky to find since it is hidden behind a hotel. Google maps took us to the right parking lot (Waterfront Inn) - just go all the way to the back. If you like the natural wood look, you will love this cabin. Just about perfect but missing some little details like wall hooks in bathroom/bedroom, a broom for sand on the porch, etc. Easy walk to Arnold ferry and downtown shops. Large bed in one bedroom, and bunk beds in an open alcove next to the bathroom - great for kids. We……

“We had a wonderful stay at the Rustic Moose! The host was fantastic with communicating and you could tell a lot of care went into making this a home away from home. We can’t wait to come back again in warmer months! ”

“Beach front cabin could not be beat for location and the cabin was clean and a great home base for all things Mackinaw city within walking distance, including the ferry to Mackinac Island. Beach is rocky in places, so be sure to bring some good water shoes! Access to the amenities of the nearby hotels was also a nice bonus, although some of the hotel facilities are a bit dated and have some deferred maintenance. The information sent to on check in day could provide better directions to the……

“We had a lovely stay with our family of 8 and our pup. The lakefront location was wonderful (don’t miss out on the beautiful sunsets and excellent late night star gazing) and the cabin had all the amenities we needed. The cabin was a bit difficult to find at night if you’re driving in for the first time. The location was great and not too far away from the neighboring cities. Thanks for allowing our family to stay, we would surely come back! ”

“Such a peaceful cottage! Perfect location for a day in Mackinaw! ”

“So clean.A perfect place to escape the craziness of the wotld and unplug for a few days.”

“Modern, clean, and accessible to all sorts of northern Michigan adventures. Unexpected pros- beautiful private dock on the lake, very nice hot tub and outdoor shower, full amenities. Unexpected cons - space is private but very close to adjacent properties, highway noise isn't loud but audible, boggy area so it means bugs abound. ”

“This cabin is a wonderfully quiet, secluded, beautiful nature getaway!!! Very clean and well-cared for. Well-stocked kitchen, so you can cook anything. Lovely bathroom, master bedroom and excellent plumbing/water. Shower is awesome. Perfect WiFi and streaming. The ORV trails are extensive, and right off the back yard- also across the road. Our dog and I loved our many long walks, so peaceful and scenic. Jon and Cathy are very nice hosts, thank you both so much for everything! ”

“I still consider this a 5 star stay but there are some things I think would be helpful for future guests. 1) There is no place to put anything. No dressers, nor usable closets, no space in the bathroom for anything. You will live out of your suitcase and because there is no room for that either, you will have to get everything put away each time you use it. 2) similar to the above, because the kitchen is well stocked with basic essentials, there is nowhere to put food away. We stayed a full week……

“We had a good overall experience at this cabin/cottage. The place was clean, comfortable, and matched my expectations for the price. Check-in and communication with the host were smooth and hassle-free. The location was cool, kind of on a peninsula, and had everything we needed for our stay. Bathroom was tight but functional. It was close enough to what we wanted to do. We did not utilize the water at all but it was nice viewing the lake in our downtime. I would stay here again. ”

“Cabin in the woods! Seclusion, peace. Simple, uncluttered. The space was relaxing , practical and functional to use with ease, important if youre cooking all your meals. Good spot for our dogs. The house/yard on one side was close enough to see the yard through the trees but otherwise, very secluded. Great location to explore the NW corner of lower Michigan. Great trail into the woods in back. One of us gets ill from perfumes so we had to put the scented trash bags outside and sub our own……

“Had the most relaxing weekend & everything was perfect! Even seen the northern lights off the dock.”

“This was our 2nd stay at the cabin (also in 2023) and everything was as expected. The only change was bringing your own bedding and also cleaning up at then end for the next party that’s checking in. That was easy as all the cleaning supplies are there for use at the cabin. We enjoyed all the amenities provided, i.e. canoe & rowboat (both with paddles), the gas grill on the screened porch, washer & dryer (detergent included) as well as the kitchen that has all the pots, pans & cooking utensils.……
