Weekend visit

Didn't want to leave!
This is our 2nd stay at Duncan's Den and it won't be our last! This cabin has everything you would want or need for a relaxing vacation. From the welcome bottle of wine to the well stocked coffee bar, this house has it all! We love to sit on the porch and listen to the creek and watch the horse and buggies go by. My husband caught some nice small mouth bass in the creek. Clean, comfortable and A plus hosts. Thank you, Mary and Bill, for another perfect stay.

Great weekend getaway!
We went for a short weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday.... nice home.. very cute, clean and comfy! Firepit by the water was across the street... tough with the dogs. We used the pit just in the backyard... great for cooking over the fire!!

The perfect place to relax with family!
We stayed at this cottage for 4 days over the holidays and it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy family time. The property is exactly as described and has everything you would need. The air hockey table was a great bonus that our family enjoyed for several hours. We brought the long leash for our dig and en enjoyed time in the backyard. We will definitely come back!

Didn't want to leave!
This cabin was perfect for us. Very clean, extremely comfortable and close to everything. This cabin is so well stocked and makes you feel right at home. Falling asleep to the sounds of Penn's Creek is heavenly. We loved exploring the friendly town of Mifflinburg and meeting so many lovely people. Our favorite place is Shade Mountain Winery for relaxation and great wines, and Rusty Rail for a tasty dinner. Don't miss DC coffee for breakfast, too. The hosts were amazing with everything, too! We can't wait to return!

Great place to stay
This place had everything we needed. The decorations were perfect for this log cabin themed vacation home. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. The living and dining rooms were large. They had many things we did not use like a fire pit and kayaks for the river across from the front yard. We would go back here anytime

Peaceful setting surrounded by Nature
House is well appointed and immaculately maintained. Hosts are lovely and easy to reach with any questions. Relaxing to sit on the front porch and watch Penn’s Creek and enjoy the show put on by the birds and eagles. We visited the wineries and did some antiquing. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing time on the creek
We can't thank you both enough for sharing your cabin. We had the best week relaxing and feeling right at home. The cabin has very comfortable beds, an awesome air hocky table, the perfect swing on the front porch for morning coffee and a beautiful creek to play in (even with all the recent rain, totally safe for our 2 small boys). Highly recommend this place!

This is a lovely cabin. Super clean and well-equipped. The layout is nice for family. The front porch overlooking Penns Creek is so peaceful. The hospitality was excellent including nice amenities such as a complimentary bottle of wine and a full coffee station. Would definitely stay here.

I recommend this place to anyone that is looking to spend quality time with their family. They provide kayaks to use on the river, and the home affords a great view of it. Home is clean and well cared for. We would definitely return!

Graduation Surprise!
We booked Duncan’s Den for our family for Bucknell graduation. The house was very clean and we enjoyed relaxing there between graduation events. We really enjoyed catching up with family on the spacious front porch, having a bonfire, and falling asleep to the sound of the creek. We will definitely be back!

Great property and house all items well kept and in fine working order. Kitchen well stocked. Lots of charm inside and front porch is fantastic. Bass fishing is great right out of front door and many excellent trout fishing opportunities not too far away. Communication was super easy and our hosts were very helpful. Highly recommended!.

Perfect spot for a quiet fishing, kayaking and overall relaxing getaway
Cabin was exactly as advertised. Very clean, comfortable, cheery and pleasantly decorated. Private creek access across the road was perfect for my husband’s fishing fun. The big front porch was a great place for me to relax, read and sketch with our dog. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Spent some time exploring the area—not a lot going on but we weren’t looking for that either. Was fun to poke around some place low key and new to us. Just what we had in mind. Owners were wonderful to work with and graciously allowed us to change our dates due to a health matter. We greatly appreciated that! A very pleasant stay for us and we would definitely recommend!

Weekend getaway
Wife and I met with two of our best friends for a weekend get away. The property is gorgeous. We loved the creative finishes on the inside of the cabin. Important notes are left throughout the space to ensure ease of operation of the devices in the cabin. The fire place by the lake was wonderful. 10/10 would do again. We'll be back.

Amazing!
Duncan's Den was perfect for our family mini vacation. The cabin was very clean and accommodating. I love to fish and having easy access to the creek allowed me to put my waders on and enjoy the thrill of catching a few monster, small mouth bass. My wife and daughters caught some sunnies while soaking in the beautiful fall views. The neighborhood cats enjoyed visiting and our daughters loved the company. Overall, our short stay was a success and we'll be returning in the future. Thank you renting to us!

Rustic cabin with all the amenities
This cabin is gorgeous! It’s 20 mins from Bucknell—a great stay for any university-related function with lots of onsite bonuses. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked. Appliances, bathroom and all leisure/sleeping spaces are updated. It felt new, yet quaint and rustic. Pet friendly, plus four newer kayaks and all the equipment for some nice paddling on the stream right across from the front porch. Fire pit with ample wood supplies was another favorite along with the porch swing overlooking the stream.

Wonderful stay
We loved our time at Duncan’s Den! Clean, we’ll stocked cabin in a beautiful setting. The hosts were great and checked in on us to make sure everything went smoothly. Just be aware that the cabin is close to the road and sometimes cars and bikes would speed by so close monitoring of dogs and young children is a must. Despite that, I highly recommend the cabin! It was a relaxing family weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks.

Peaceful, calm, relaxing!!
Absolutely relaxing. Everyone in the area was nice. There was an ice cream truck that came by so we had some ice cream and hung out at the creek. We went to a semi- local petting zoo and A beautiful, well kept playground. The air hockey table was a big hit. We brought our dogs bowls but I forgot to bring their stand. Turns out we didn't need too! They had a stand with 3 bowls ready for our fur babies! This is also very random but they had so many outlets! You have plenty of outlets to plug in computers or w.e electronics you need. I'd say the only thing you need to be aware of, are the cats. My kids absolutely loved them, however my husband is allergic. The neighbors have several outdoor cats that are very friendly and will hang out on the porch. My dogs were not big fans either. This is something the owners cannot control so I would not mark this as a negative, just an FYI. All in all we absolutely loved it!!

The location of the cabin was perfect for our venue. It had everything we needed. for our stay. There was just one issue I had and I sent the owners a message and they immediately called me to fix the issue. The front porch was perfect and relaxing listening to the creek. Beautiful home in great location
So chill and quiet location with the creek noise filling your ears. My buddy and I loved this home served our needs in every way. Location to most of the gold rated creeks were within an hours drive from the house. The owners even checked in on our stay seeing if all was well. You will not be disappointed at all if you choose this home for your getaway.

The cottage was perfect for our family. It was very cozy and I love the rustic decor. The kitchen provided everything. If there was something missing the host came out and supplied it immediately. The first floor was spacious and open for our pups’ crate. The beds were so comfortable! I would highly recommend this cottage for a little getaway. There seems there are plenty to do in the area. I reserved this house for my daughter’s graduation at Penn State which is an hour drive to state college. The hour was a pretty drive through the farmlands and valleys.

Girls Weekend at the Cabin
The cabin is clean, cozy and comfortable but with plenty of space. We enjoyed fires by Penn Creek under the stars and meals/card games around the table in the living room. Beds were comfortable and towels and linens provided. Such a sweet and charming place to stay. Thank you!
