Summer Fun House
We had a great time, the house was nice, key features are the deck overlooking the marina & the hot tub. We were mostly at the beach, only in the house at night. Not a ton of kitchen supplies to cook, bring your own spices! Showers are hot & hotter, no cold water after a hot day at the beach. We had a great time, thank you

Ladies Get Away!!
We had a wonderful time. It was late in the season when we could all get away so "Seasonal" stores etc were closed but we still had a great time. We did have an issue with our stove, but the maintenance guy arrived quickly and resolved the issue. Everything was clean, the beds comfortable and the hot tub was wonderful. One concern was with the unfinished basement: mainly the stairs. They are very steep and not a lot of room for your whole foot. We would love to come back and have already discussed using this same rental again. Thank you

Girls Trip
We had a great experience at this rental. It was the perfect size for a girls weekend. It was walking distance to town for the Wine Festival. The kitchen wasn't as stocked with as many things as I am used to at home rentals but we made it work

Perfect family stay
Great location and home in New Buffalo. About 20 min walk to New Buffalo beach. Good layout for everyone to entertain themselves. Nice appliances and beautiful view of the lake from the kitchen window.

Perfect weekend getaway
This house is in the absolutely perfect location in downtown New Buffalo! It was very spacious and had ample places to sleep- kitchen was great for meals and we always ended the night in the hot tub! Highly recommend

Upstairs was nice downstairs was ok
The downstairs was a bit musty smelling and unfinished. Couldn’t get the girls to sleep down there. Very minimal kitchen supplies like glasses and plates, no dishwasher. Other than that the bedrooms were clean, beds nice walking across the street to the little deck at night was beautiful.

What a wonderful vacation house!
We have been to New Buffalo a few times before, and stayed in the hotel. Great low key town, just touristy enough. This time we decided to rent this house, and it was wonderful! Worked out perfect for our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids) , plus grandma! House is Exactly as described, clean, great location in town close to everything. Walk to the beach and little shops is 15 minutes. Or it’s a 5 minute drive to the main beach if you don’t want to walk. The kids loved the hot tub, when it needed repair, it was fixed within the hour! Communication was great any time we had a question. The kids didn’t want to leave after our 5 night stay. We hope to go back again!

Weekend Getaway
Property was nice and clean. The owners were great- hot tub was broken and had it replaced before we arrive. Communication about property was great to. I’d recommend this and stay again.

Weekend getaway pro/con
Pros: Overall, clean. Great location. Hot tub clean. Cons: Bring your own pans/utensils bc they do not have everything. And the beds- two thumbs down. The beds were absolutely terrible. Two of three bedrooms beds were clearly very old and past their prime (visibly sunken in middle). Three of the four of us woke up with severe back pain the two nights we were there and had to attempt to sleep on the couches, because the bed quality was atrocious.

I am sorry to hear they did not find the beds comfortable. We have rented this home almost 100 times and have not had complaints about beds. If the guests would have told us about this during their stay there may have been options for us to remedy. I am letting the owner of home know so if we need to replace mattresses we will.

Nice property.
We really enjoyed our stay. Nice location. Very comfortable. Two things we thought should be addressed. The back door does not seem to lock. We just locked the screen door, weren’t too concerned. The other thing was that there was no electricity in the bathroom. Since it was just the two of us I used a bedroom to get ready. The hot tub was very enjoyable!

Great location south of the harbor with water views on 2 sides of the house. Definitely all cottage but clean and comfy for our family of four.

Picture and communication
The picture of the gate across the street was deceiving as you cannot get to the beach from there. My husband called and left a message the day ouf our check in, he asked for a phone call back but never received one. That was disappointing.

I am sorry that they felt the picture was deceiving however across the street is just a place to view lake and sunsets. The closest beach is about 1/2 mile from the house. It is New Buffalo public beach which was nice and sandy. We did call guest back and didn't hear back.

Ok Stay
Location is great, however a few things really need to be addressed. The back porch railing is rotting and not stable. A huge concern for young children. There is a large television down in the basement that is shown in the advertised images that does not work. Several knobs on the gas oven do not work. We had to purchase trash bags and toilet paper as not enough was provided for a week stay with six known guests. To access the back porch from inside the home, you must awkwardly go through a bedroom. Overall shabby interior. Priced too high.

I am sorry they felt this way. We will check back porch railing and repair if needed. The basement TV most definitely works (they should have called us with issue). We give all our homes a starter supply of paper and soap products. It is not intended to last entire week.

New Buffalo July 2019
The town is great. Plenty to do. The Inside of the house in general was okay. Check in was easy. There is no beach/lake access. You have to walk quite a distance to get there. The outside was not clean. Area around the hot tub is dirty. Hot tub was dirty. The pictures do not match this at all. Inside was clean. When we arrived we had to change light bulbs in quite a few rooms. We had to take bulbs from unused areas and switch to kitchen/bedrooms. Basement is unfinished. It did have a couch and ping pong table. You have to park in the back of house. Basement doors were very hard to shut/ lock. We had a door knob come off in our hands. The deck on the back of the house is UNSAFE. It appears to be rotten. I wouldn't let anyone near the edge. The knobs on the gas stove are broken. The kitchen is not stocked very well at all. If you are planning on cooking, bring your own utensils/pans. Overall for the price charged for this location I was very disappointed. I would look for a different property.

I am sorry they did not enjoy their stay. None of this was reported to us while they were at house. We would be happy to change lightbulbs or have hot tub cleaned if needed. I have been on this deck numerous times and nothing about this deck is dangerous.
