Getaway
My wife and I had a good time staying here. The place and grounds were clean and as described in listing. It was great to spend some time visiting Gettysburg and its history with Civil War. Highly recommend the horse and carriage battlefield ride. Our tour guide, Truman, provided a wealth of information about the war that you won’t hear elsewhere.

Nice,and relaxing
Very nice place. We fed the horses etc.. Quiet clean, enjoyed the deer, fish and turtles. Nice and relaxing on our long, Way home from Virginia. Fredericks, Spotsylvavia, Manassas and Culpeper.

Great cottage
This is a fantastic cottage in the woods. The short drive off the main road seems to transport you to your own sliver of wooded paradise. Elizabeth thought of everything as a host and everything we needed was provided in the cottage. Everything worked -that we used- and we had no issues during our stay. We enjoy the gurgling stream that runs behind the cottage. We didn’t even turn on tv this trip. Great location to decompress. We highly recommend this location. Look forward to our next stay.

Peaceful Short Time Away
The location was perfect for all we wanted to do (Gettysburg, York, and Lancaster). After driving and exploring each day, coming back to this quiet cottage and settling into the hottub completed our perfect days. The cottage and property were exactly what we needed to recharge!

New Year's Eve getaway
We stayed here for 3 days while visiting Gettysburg for the first time. The Apple Blossom Cottage was lovely, quiet and peaceful. We loved the night time dips in the hot tub, watching movies and daytime excursions in the area. Gettysburg has so much to do and the Apple Blossom Cottage was the perfect New Year's Eve getaway. Highly recommend!

Apple blossom cottage
My wife has mobility problems, cottage is down hill from parking. Pictures make cleared area around cottage look larger. Thought cottage was more remote in wood. Brought our dog along no trails though woods to walk him had to walk on the road. Vegetation around cottage very thick could not see pond that are shown in pictures.

Thank you for your review. The pictures are not altered and clearly show the area around the cottage. We have never in any of our reviews had a guest say otherwise. We do not offer walking trails or advertise that we do. The driveway has plenty of grass and walking area on either side. We are on 30 acres and the driveway is half a mile long with wonderful farm animals and wildlife all around. We do to disturb the pond's vegetation and it can be seen clearly.

The Perfect reset!
Where can you go and have coffee with a fawn first thing in the morning! At the apple blossom cottage is where. It was absolutely amazing seeing the little guy graze through the lawn. Coming from a small town that's what I look for is the small town feel. This cottage hit it out of the park. Check in and out is a simple text. The property is just absolutely beautiful the cottage inside was neat and clean and such a homey feel as soon as you walk through the door. And the Owner Elizabeth is absolutely amazing and is a simple message away from any problem concern or question. Thank you Elizabeth and family for creating such an amazing little get away and sharing the silent slice of heaven you all get to enjoy! Can not wait to see the cottage in the fall! If anyone is up in the air about this perfect little get away just do it you will not regret it at all!!

Great vacation rental

Beautiful property

Weekend Get Away
Let me start by saying that we had a GREAT time! It's a beautiful location near Gettysburg that offers all the privacy and comforts of home. We especially loved the horses, donkeys and goats that we were able to feed! The cottage is adorable and spacious, and we woke up to deer in the yard every morning. With that being said, I would recommend that the cleaning staff pay a little more attention to detail when cleaning the facilities and grounds as there were several areas that were not "up to par." Also, while it does mention in the listing what supplies they start you out with, it was a little inconvenient having to run to the store on the first day to purchase additional toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags (we later found some tucked behind a bunch of items under the kitchen sink). Staying at the cottage was well worth the money spent, although it would be nice to have those little amenities provided versus having to purchase additional items ourselves or have things like firewood as an additional cost. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this place to others.

The cottage is stocked with toilet paper and paper towels on the holder for your arrival as well as one back up for each. Since you stated you overlooked the garbage bags it seems those items were as well overlooked. We do not supply firewood free of charge. Just like many of the campgrounds in the area we offer it for a small fee. Thank you

Adorable Cabin
The cabin was adorable and had everything we needed. Very close to wineries, breweries and downtown Gettysburg. The hot tub was awesome-we really enjoyed it. It is very private area with a nice yard for your dog to play. We forgot matches for the fire-pit so didn’t get to use it but remember to bring some if you plan to use it. Great and easy communication with the owner. Fully recommend this property.

Perfect Christmas Getaway
It was very easy to schedule our stay at the Apple Blossom Cottage. We had the best time ever! The owners were very nice and easy to deal with. The cottage was very clean and tidy. It had all the comforts of home. It was loaded with games and movies. The kitchen had everything you need to to make great meals. The bedroom had a cozy queen bed that was very comfortable. The cottage had many windows looking out towards the wooded area where we watched deer come and go. We used to hot tub sever times… it was fantastic! Do not hesitate… book this cottage!

My stay at Apple Blossom Cottage was perfect. The hot tub was an added +! Hosts were quick to reply with answers. It’s quite dark. I was so glad I remembered to take my headlamp for dog walks.

Relaxing Anniversary
My wife and I chose Apple Blossom Cottage for our anniversary getaway! The property did not disappoint! We had the most relaxing and memorable couple if nights! Elizabeth was very responsive to our communication. I’d give it 6 out if 5 stars if I could! The price was appropriate, but the relaxation and privacy was beyond expectation. We will definitely return!

Great Fall Weekend
The Apple Blossom Cottage was the perfect home base for a weekend of exploring Gettysburg. A very cozy cabin with everything you need. It was great to come back to a warm firepit and hot tub each evening. Private and secluded, yet close to nearby attractions, we loved seeing the deer roaming the property.

Awesome Litte Property
Beautiful house! Great location!! We were pleasantly suprised by the quaint little place! Awesome inside and out. Very cozy!!! Everything you need for a get away!!! We were just sorry we couldn't stay longer!! Very close to orchard country and the history of Gettysburg!!! Wildlife everywhere too!!!! We would recommend this place to anyone !!!!

Quiet Comfy Getaway
Our time at the Apple Blossom Cottage was wonderful. It was a clean, comfortable place to call home while we explored Gettysburg. Quiet and peaceful, it was a great place to kick back with our two dogs. We loved seeing the horses and the deer that visited the old orchard. It had all the amenities we needed to feel at home and cook meals when we didn't feel like going out.

Extremely comfortable Country Setting
The property was in excellent condition, very cozy inside and warm. The host was extremely responsive when we had questions for her. Enjoyed all the deer on the driveway coming into the cabin and a mama and two fawns right in the yard. So peaceful , would reccommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. Gettysburg easy drive only 15 minutes away for the history buff. We enjoyed Vaughn's eggs as well, great taste and a nice home feel touch. We will come back again. Thank you Elizabeth for such a wonderful weekend away from home.

A little piece of heaven
What a wonderful place in a peaceful and tranquil surrounding! Elizabeth was easy to get a hold of and was very helpful. She really thought of everything. I can't believe how many deer we saw on the property...I have never seen so many! The property was about 10 minutes from Gettysburg, which was so convenient.
