We had a truly bad time. i will never stay there again, and i advise everyone else not to stay at that place. first, there is no staff at the hotel, nobody. no reception, absolutely nobody. Finally, we read the notice at the door which directed us to go to a hotel down the road. there we obtained the room key. there were several deficiencies with the room. The booking price included continental breakfast. There was no such think (again, no staff onsite). Never never never again. Uwe

So Sorry you did not enjoy your stay. We send an email to each guest informing them that the lobby closes at 5pm and to proceed next door to check in. Breakfast is served in the lobby every day from 9am - 11am. There is even a sign on the lobby door.

Awesome property. Close to many restaurants. Approximately 15 minute walk to main area of North Palm Canyon. Pool and hot tub were very nice. Continental breakfast and wine and cheese in the late afternoon. Staff were awesome and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again!

One of my absolute favorite hotels in palm springs. It is conveniently located and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. You can take a walk at any time, neighborhood is safe. Rooms are well decorated and beds are comfortable. Wine and cheese every afternoon :)

Good hotel with just a few rough edges
Great location. Clean and cozy property great for stays of 3-4 nights. Bedding and pillows need a big update and room doesn't have a desk if that's important to you. Nice balcony - bit cold in late Jan to use but it's here. Outdoor furniture wasn't cleaned up so bit of a letdown. Very Clean pool and whirlpool to use as well. Small continental breakfast and wine and cheese options around 4 pm.

Love everything about this hotel. Location is absolutely perfect - especially if attending the film festival or events in downtown Palm Springs. It's small enough and private enough, it feels like you’re staying at a friends home.

Nice quiet property. The property is very clean and the staff are so welcoming. Very close to many great restaurants. Easy walk to shopping and food. Great amenities include continental breakfast and happy hour. We’ve stay here several times and it’s always a great stay.

This is an adult only hotel, so no kids running around the pool. The rooms have a nice updated mid century modern decor. It was a good value for the price. A few small I convinces, like the ac had the be reset several times. But a nice chill place to stay in PS

The location is close to shops and restaurants within walking distance. The pool area is nice and relaxing and clean as well. The room was nice, it just seems like it has seen better days. The barn door leading to the restroom was holding on by a thread, The carpets just looked dated, But my main complaint would be the Air conditioning unit as it was just way too loud! The rooms really need updated with wall mounted mini splits. Overall I would recommend a stay here as long as you take the above into consideration.

Overnight stay
Hotel seemed like it could have a nice vibe, but the grounds, patios, and pools were in need of a good cleanup. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel looks tired and worn, but this could have been improved with better groundskeeping. Dead leaves and debris were everywhere.

ants in room, dirt in pool, water stains on wall, cracked ceiling, private patio was dirty, dusty and full of leaves. grounds had not been swept or cleaned seemingly for days. dead leaves accumulated all property. the handy man wanted to spray for ants while we were in there....

Thank you for your feedback. Ficus trees are difficult to keep up with, and when temperatures reach 115, the bugs are more apparent. However, we do try to keep them out of the rooms, even though we have an outdoor access to rooms.

Love this place, bern several times!!! The air conditioner units are quite noisey, where ear plugs!!! The shower water takes about 10 minutes or so to get a nice temperature!!!

Pet friendly but mostly concrete and hard scape so no place for potty. Blood spatter on the wall in the bathroom and furniture stained and unclean. Staff were friendly though and had the bathroom cleaned up immediately.

I stayed at movie colony on june 9th through the 13th I was having a nice time until I realized the shower was leaking into the Wow and going through to the. closet. And into the room.Whenever we will take a shower. It completely messed up my clothes and shoes that were in the Closet I called The Front desk and they sent a maintenance guy. I cannot take a shower my last day when I requested a refund. I was told because I paid for the trip on hotels.com That they could not give me a refund and to contact hotels.com Once I contacted them to see about getting reimbursed for the damages to my Clothes shoes and suitcase. And they contacted movie colony hotel hotel. And was told by management that nothing ever happened like that But I have pictures and videos of the flooding and they have to do an investigation because they never heard of Any flooding on there It is now june 22nd and I still haven't heard anything

We are aware of the problem, and never told the guest that damage never happened - the guest just never told us about any damage to personal belongings, nor sent any pictures. We refunded the guest for all of the resort fees associated with reservation in good faith at the time of check out.

An historic hidden gem!
Adorable, small, historic, quiet, retro hotel. Desk clerk was friendly and attentive, offering to move me to a bottom-floor room when he saw I had trouble with the stairs. Walked me to my room and made me feel welcome. I would definitely stay here again. Great location.

Quick get away was fine. Only had one tissue left in box. mini fridge was nice but no microwave. Bathroom was up dated nice walk shower. Everything is in close distance

Well Done Remake..
We were impressed with the decor of the room. The updating of an old property and then furnishing it was very good...My only suggestion would be to add color outside. It was very dull and bright colors of pool towels or covers or containers would liven the area.. The lobby needed something too but not sure what... I would stay again..
