Sad to see the Lakewalk destroyed. We so much used to enjoy it.
Plan a picnic there to enjoy the scenary
Take along your blanket, coolers, etc and pick up rocks or drift wood. Can also swim or wade in the water
Sailboats go out in the harbor on Wednesday nights
Very nice, free beach--the water was quite warm at 72 degrees when we were there in July. Recommend some sort of water shoes--although the rocks are smooth, Lake Superior's rocky bottom is hard on bare feet. Great way to cool off!
