JP Luby Surf Park is a lovely place to take a breather. Have a picnic, toss a Frisbee around or just lie on the cool grass and shut your eyes for a while.

JP Luby Surf Park is a worthwhile place to begin your discovery of Mustang Island State Park. This recreation and green space comes recommended by fellow travelers, but it isn't the only thing to do here. Allow time for other attractions like North Padre Island Beach, Whitecap Beach, and Bob Hall Pier to make the most of what the area has to offer.

Candlelight is an excellent choice for a getaway. The only minor complaint I would have is that the ac is in very front of cabin and the bed room temperature was a bit uncomfortable. We stayed in the fall so it wasn’t a big problem. I don’t know how bearable it would have been in July or August. That said I still highly recommend and I will probably return

Absolutely loved this house. It was very clean and had more than everything we needed. We enjoyed the pool, bbq grills and the fire pit. Loved that we could walk to the beach. It worked out great with our dogs, being it was very quiet so they didn’t bark at anything. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to our friends.
