Highly recommend this lovely traditional konak

Very warm welcome on arrival. Room really cosy and clean. Fabulous breakfast each morning. Enjoyed our stay at Efe Konağı in beautiful Safranbolu, this guesthouse is an easy walk from town and we managed to park in a convenient location very close by.

The owner Yasin was very helpful and friendly. We stayed there for 3 nights and were treated like a family. His sister even did the laundry for us! The location is very convenient as well. All the landmarks are within walking distance.

This was my second time staying here. I made Safranbolu a stop on my trip just so I could stay at Efe Guest house for a few days. The hospitality and the kindness of the owners are beyond exceptional. I felt even more at home this time than the last time; now I feel like part of the family and would look forward to coming again. The house is well-kept; the terrace on the top floor where breakfast is served is so peaceful and offers a lovely view. The breakfast is good. Thank you Yasin Bey and family for your kindness.

Highly recommended

Room is same as the photo, comfortable and clean with traditional vibe & structures, location is good and quiet, the host is supportive and friendly, he allowed me to store my luggage after check out at my last day due to my night bus schedule as well as calling a taxi for me. I highly recommend this nice guesthouse to all travelers.

HISTORIC ACCOMMODATIONS

Guest House has a great view overlooking the mosque, bazaar area and prominent buildings, nicely located to use the minibus service to other parts of the city, enjoyed the village people, great breakfast. Recognize that you are staying in a heritage building with limited upgrades capable of being done, although would recommend electrical upgrades to handle charging communication devices & venting of bathrooms.

A nice stay in old town of Safranbolu

The house is very old but full of charm. You have to take your shoes off when you enter but there are slippers in each room you can use when you walk around. Our room was facing the street and except 5.50am call for prayers it was very peaceful. Bed was comfortable and we slept well under a thick duvet. Breakfast was good and we had lovely views over the old town of Safranbolu.

Don't expect luxury. Do expect extreme warmth and amazing hospitality. a peaceful environment. Expect to be well taken care of. Ev sahibiniz sizi terasa çaya çağırıyor, Safranbolu eski çarşıyı (hemen bir yol ötenizde ama tepelerin eteklerinde olduğunuz için hepiniz birbirbirinizi seyredebiliyorsiniz, görüş açınız kapalı değil), Hıdır tepesini, eski konakları seyrederek muhteşem lezzetli çayınızı içiyor, ev sahibi ve sahibesi ile muhabbet ediyorsunuz (uzak bir akrabanızın evine yıllar sonra gelmiş, köyünüzden haber alıyor gibi hissediyorsunuz). Oda ahşap tavanlı, dantelli perdeli mis gibi bir oda. Babannenizin odasında uyuyor gibi içiniz rahat uyuyorsunuz. Babannenizin odasında görmediğiniz konforu beklemeye hakkınız yok biliyorsunuz (bu evler eski evler su ısıtıcı koyamazlar, yangın riski büyük. Banyoları büyük yapamazlar, izin alınamıyormuş. Belki minicik bir dolap iyi olurdu) Sabah tertemiz bir sofra bezi üzerine tertemiz beyaz tabaklarla hazırlanmış kahvaltı sofrasında kahvaltınızı ediyorsunuz. Bakır tavaya yumurta kırıyor, çayınız soğusa kibarca tazeliyor ev sahibesi. Hani tutmasa kendisini, azıcık daha yiyin diye ısrar edecek sanki. Biz çok memnun ayrıldık kendilerinden ve Safranbolu'dan. Teşekkür ederiz.

Merkeze Yakın Çok Şirin Bir Konak

Merkeze çok yakın panoramik olarak Safranbolu yu seyredebileceginiz bir konuma sahip. Kaldığımız oda güzel ve temizdi. Konağın sahibi ve işletmecisi Yasin Bey çok nazik ve ilgiliydi. Akşam terasta Safranbolu manzaralı çay keyfi harikaydı. Kahvaltımızı da aynı terasta servis ettiler. Arabayla konağa ulaşmak için 200 MT kadar dar yollardan gidiyorsunuz. Otopark sıkıntısı olabilirdi ama Yasin Bey aracimiz için otelin yanında yer temin etti. Çok memnun kaldık. Şiddetle tavsiye ederiz.
