Complete disappointment
Absolute and complete disappointment. Nothing like the listing at all. Too many adjectives to use to describe. So much so, we didn’t give grabbing a hotel stay nearby a second thought. Perhaps suitable for nonchalant backpackers, but certainly not for a family of four traveling across the country looking for comfort and security. Appropriately tilted “Hideen Valley”, this property is dark and secluded, like something out of an episode of Unsolved mysteries. Total disappointment to say the absolute least. What’s more disappointing? The way VRBO handled our complaint. Particularly the fact that we paid for renters insurance, and couldn’t even get our money back. I guess you get what you pay for…and absolutely unthinkable travel experience.

Uncomfortable
Uncomfortable beds with mattresses lined with plastic liner that crinkles with movement and sweats with the sheets. Sheets also come off overnight. Uncomfortable bed and pillows and had to sleep on the downstairs couch. Drab living room that is downstairs with the kitchen upstairs is a very awkward arrangement. I can not recommend this vrbo.

Quaint-Charming-Quiet Location
What a charming place. My husband and four children stayed Monday-Friday. A friend and her child stayed overnight Tuesday so we could go to SeaWorld. All of us were comfortable. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, and we were so comfortable. The location was 10 minutes or less to San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld and the beach. We would love to stay here again; thank you so much!

Very convenient location!
The location was great. Very centrally located. Also, Crust restaurant and Waffle Spot were just down the street so you could order breakfast, lunch or dinner and just pick it up. The property itself was very comfortable and had a lot of charm with the slanted ceilings. Great natural light from the windows and good privacy.

Nice property in convenient location
The property was clean. Rooms are a little odd with low ceilings in places. Watch your head! The unit had a Keurig coffee maker but not enough coffee for the four of us for two days. A traditional coffee maker would be nice.

Great Location
My wife and I utilized this place for our weekend getaway and it was exactly what we were looking for. The location is perfect in the hotel circle area where you have every store and restaurant needed. We didn't have to travel more then 25min to get to anything that we had planned to do. We would definitely stay there again.

The hideaway
The cottage was clean, roomy and comfortable. The kitchen was upstairs and a very nice size. The bedrooms were a bit small but comfortable. I would consider renting this cottage again.

Spunky, clean and good location
We had a great stay with our family of 6. The property was clean and had everything we needed. Kitchen was a well-stocked. We were here during a heat wave and we appreciated that the A/C worked well. Also, the beds were comfortable!

Quaint resting spot with plenty of space
We came out with our 3 teens (17, 16, and 13). The hideaway was the perfect little spot. Great parking, spacious living room and kitchen, and very responsive manager at a great price. Close enough to amazing things to do without paying the amazing price tag! Would definitely stay again.

convenient for conferences
Nice alternative to staying in one of the big hotels when attending conference nearby. Freeway is noisy, but apartment is nice, especially the spacious, light kitchen area. Tall, forgetful people might easily bump their heads on the low bedroom ceilings, but for smaller or careful person, not a problem, and they are cosy under the eaves.

More than expected.
Nice setup, very spacious. Lots of sunlight in the kitchen in the morning! Communication was great with the property manager. Decided to stay another night last minute and was able to. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place and affordable.
I felt like the price was great and it was quaint. It had a few little charms. The beds were comfortable and having a stocked kitchen, made it a great place to stay. It's not the Ritz Carlton, of course, but it is extremely nice for a budget friendly family stay. My one and only complaint was the parking during day hours. It's sits by a shop and parking fills up easily during the mid-day. Street parking is an option but there is not much of it.

Roomy apartment in a great location, easy on/off I8. We're paying for cleaning service and not getting it. White socks were no longer white after walking around on the first night. Begs the question as to just how clean everything else is.

Minimal and cold
In view of the photos, funky was expected. Was clean but... although originality can be fun, no effort to make the traveller feel welcome and respected. Old bed covers and towels. Tiny rug in the bathroom. No bedside lamps with narrow, slanted ceilings. Better use one's phone to avoid a bump... nice parking lot, ... with a live nightclub, right there!

Very Nice
Location was awesome and loved having laundry on site. Communication with owner was easy and responses were fast. Only thing I'd suggest is different waterproof mattress pads as these were hot. Overall, this was a really nice place to stay.

Affordable & Cozy Getaway in SoCal
For first timers visiting the area, the property was close to shops, dining, and easy access to all highways. Not to mention the place was very cozy. Would stay here again.

Hideaway from the drama
Overall my experience was wonderful. There were a few things that could have been cleaned better with more attention to detail but other than that I have no complaints. I was surprised by the size of this unit. With the kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms upstairs and the large living room down, there was more than enough to for everyone to stretch out without being on top of each other. The area was very quiet almost cabin in the woods feel with a faint sound of traffic from the night. About a 20 minutes walk to the Fashion Valley Mall for many bus routes and the Greenline Trolley to downtown or Santee. Great location, outstanding customer service, and a spacious living quarters. Will definitely rent again if I'm ever in the area. Thanks so much for having us
