Spring Break
Lovely place to stay and a great location. Perfect for a couple. Only thing to consider changing is the couch. Extremely hard and uncomfortable. Otherwise, the place perfect. Loved the closed in patio. Beautiful bathroom too!

Perfect for an extended stay in Santa Cruz
We had a wonderful 3-week stay at Epworth Cottage. The cottage was lovely, with high ceilings, a nicely equipped kitchen, and a separate bedroom with a comfortable mattress. The location is superb: set back a little from the street for privacy and quiet, but convenient to Lighthouse Field State Beach with its great views of surfers at Steamer Lane and all of Monterey Bay; Steamer Lane Supply for coffee and breakfast or lunch; and Its Beach for our dog. Khristina was not only dog-friendly, but also kind and accommodating when we arrived during an “atmospheric river” storm. We can’t imagine staying anywhere else in the area.

Charming cottage, great location
The cottage is charming and comfortable. Has everything needed for a short or long stay. Location is close to West Cliff and within easy walking distance of the wharf and Boardwalk. Host is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this location.

Quaint and Comfortable
Beautiful cottage so close to the ocean you can hear the sea lions on the wharf! Gorgeous landscaping that brought in the hummingbirds. The home was well equipped with very nice kitchen, soap and linen choices. We walked the ocean edge path and also to breakfast and dinner often. Santa Cruz is a great place for day trips from redwoods to beaches and sea towns. Our host was very friendly and responsive.

Perfect Location
This may be the the best location for a visit in coastal California. West Cliff’s walking path is steps away, Natural Bridges State park and it’s small cafe is the perfect compliment to the beach scene. The cottage was an iconic Victorian, something that represent the charm of Santa Cruz. It had everything needed for our weekend stay. Plus, it was private and quiet with it tucked away on an enormous property. We have already recommended it to friends and family.

Vacation
Because of the amazing location we were able to walk to the beach and boardwalk avoiding driving with the traffic! The house was the perfect size for just the two of us would defiantly be coming back! The host was amazing!

Can’t imagine staying anywhere else!
After spending 5 nights in this delightful cottage, we cannot imagine staying anywhere else when we are in Santa Cruz. The location is fantastic. The host is beyond first rate and the cottage is better stocked than any of the many places we have stayed. Cozy, comfortable with a great bathroom! Couldn’t ask for anything more.

Location, location, location!
Such a great find! Everything was wonderful; too many pluses to enumerate. If I was forced to share anything negative, it would be that the cottage is so well equipped that there is no storage should you find yourself staying for more than just a couple of nights. You can see that's someone truly reaching to have to find anything negative to share about this wonderful place and the owner who take amazing care of her guests. Tip is to simply bring less stuff as it's already there for you.

This is a great place to stay, and I can't recommend it highly enoughgh.
Highly recommended. Fabulous location on top of a popular cliff overlooking Pacific. The grounds of 136 year historical mansion contain a magnificent araucaria tree – probably tallest than most redwoods in the county. We stayed five days with a lap-dog and a cat. The cottage is a pure perfection – all amenities of highest quality and done with love and high taste. Khristina is incredible host, very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. She is also flexible with check-in and check-out times, which was extremely helpful. Thank you Khristina for sharing your lovely place with us. We are looking forward to being back soon.

Perfect location, gorgeous property for small family or couple
We absolutely loved staying on the Westside here! It's an easy walk down the hill to the Boardwalk, only slightly longer to all the restaurants and shops downtown, and if you prefer just to walk along the bay away from the crowds the east cliff walkway is at your doorstep. Yet the property was extremely quiet and everything was top notch. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful cottage!
Wonderful wonderful cottage! Christina was so helpful and knowledgeable about Santa cruz! The location is beautiful and close to everything but yet far enough that it's quiet and peaceful. I would definitely stay here again if I go to Santa Cruz!

Subsequent inspection of rental unit was conducted, and no mitigation measures whatsoever were recommended. Guest was in violation of VRBO's stated no extortion clause as documented by VRBO. Perfectly polite guest, but would not host again.

Adorable Cottage
I enjoyed my stay along with my 2 doggies. It was great for walking along West Cliff Dr. with the beautiful ocean views. The decor and amenities were all top notch and lovely. Khristina was a wonderful host and thought of every detail to make you feel right at home.

3 sisters had a reunion by the beach.
We could hear the ocean and the seals barking. We walked to the beach to watch the sunset, and to the boardwalk for dinner. Lovely cottage, beautiful area. The host was great. Highly recommend!

We were pleasantly surprised at this well equipped, cozy sweet cottage in an awsome neighborhood. Daily walks on West Cliff with our pup. Fun restaurants and shopping close by. We are on a road trip and we called this our Happy Cottage. Will return🥰

Privacy at the Beach
Being at a cozy cottage, just steps from the beach and boardwalk was a chance to enjoy the sun and fun as well as have a quiet and peaceful private cottage to relax and rest to get ready for the next day.

Great communicator, best location, dog friendly
The property is charmingly lovely and perfect for 2 with a dog. Khristina is an excellent communicator and emits positive energy, so having her as a host was a blessing. For a two night stay, we were on the go (walking along the scenic coast to the West Cliff outdoor market, biking to Natural Bridges Beach, spending time at Cowell Beach, downtown, the pier and boardwalk). We used the parking spot, but also had no problem finding parking on the street in front of the property. When it got warm, we used the fans and the umbrella in the fenced patio area to stay cool. There are no screens on the windows, but luckily no mosquitoes or flies got in when we cracked them open for a sea breeze. The patio is a great spot to park the stroller, bikes, and to eat/drink al fresco at the patio seating area. It was nice to sit out there; you can hear the seals under the pier in the morning. The couch and bed were comfortable. The community is nice and welcoming-I truly felt blissful with that Santa Cruz vibe. My cousins, niece, and nephews visited briefly and had great memories made.

Wonderful cottage in Santa Cruz

Girls Getaway
Met with a friend of 40 years to relax for a few days. Wonderful location and great for pets. The fenced yard was nice and gave added privacy but could get quite warm as there is no shade. The cottage was well stocked with all the necessities and very quiet. The free standing tub and shower was cute but a little challenging for “ seniors”. All in all it was a great experience.

Lovely cottage
Lovely little cottage. Definitely only room for 1 person or a couple. Place was very clean upon arrival. We appreciated having coffee there for the next morning. Location was perfect for us - we could walk downtown, along West Cliff Drive or just in the surrounding neighborhood. Host was out of town when we arrived but made sure there was someone available if we needed (which we didn't).

We "worked from home" from the cottage for a week. The house was wonderful. It had everything we needed (including strong enough wi-fi for both of us to use Zoom at the same time). Such a cute neighborhood. We brought our dog with us, and he really enjoyed the trips to Lighthouse Beach.

This was honestly more than I had hoped for. Location was amazing but the host had thought of every possible detail or amenities, including special treats for my pup and a list of dog friendly places. Victorian Cottage by the Sea
This is our second stay in this sweet, cottage by West Cliff Rd and Monterrey Bay. It has everything you need in a one bedroom place; we really appreciate the separate bedroom with door so the one who wakes early can putter in the kitchen/living room without waking the other of us. We also appreciate having several coffee shops/restaurants in easy walking distance. Coffee on the outside patio in the morning and a walk along the bay in the evening are great ways to start and end the day. It is well outfitted, very clean, very easy to communicate with thenowner/manager- all is good!

Paradise
This was an excellent place to stay - private and quiet off the busy street yet SO close to the cliffs and the ocean - just across the street. It is within walking distance to the beaches and restaurants. The house has everything you need and so comfortable and clean. Our hostess checked in on us too. Can't wait to return !

Best time in Santa Cruz
The cottage is well located in a very nice neighborhood, 2 steps from the ocean. Beautifully decorated and very practical. We are worldwide travelers and found that Khristina is our #1, best and outstanding host. She lives in the house next-door and responds immediately if you have the slightest problem. She thought about every single detail that makes your stay comfortable. Nothing was missing in the kitchen and overall in the house. We had the best time in Santa Cruz and fell immediately at home. We will certainly come back!

Anniversary love nest
Khristina is a wonderful and responsive hostess. The cottage is ideally located near the Santa Cruz Beach, Boardwalk, and pier, far enough away in a quiet neighborhood to be relaxing. We walked for miles along West Cliff Avenue, enjoying spectacular views of the coast. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and there were drinks and coffee beans waiting for us in the refrigerator, sparing us from having to immediately run to the store. When we had a problem with the bed, Khristina was very accommodating to get it repaired quickly. Overall, a great stay!

Peaceful Westside Retreat
From the moment I booked this property, I knew it was going to be a winner. The owner's thoughtful instructions and details (in the descriptions alone) indicated a careful and considerate thoroughness to her approach to hosting. Everything was perfect, except something I hadn't considered at all (and is completely on me). If you have ANY mobility issues and would find yourself challenged by showering in a clawfoot tub, please consider renting the carriage house (on the same property) instead. This was not a major deal, as our visit was just a few days, but in the future, I'll be booking the carriage house with the spacious walk-in shower. Khristina, thank you so much for the opportunity to stay on your property...we'll be back! I'm already dreaming of how soon we can visit.

Perfect in every way!
Description of rental does not do this charming cottage justice! High ceilings, radiant heated floor, all the appointments of a 4 star hotel but right across the street from the coast is more than any hotel I considered would have provided. Do not hesitate in booking this for 1-3 people. My adult daughter stayed on comfortable convertible sofa bed and we in the bedroom queen. This is the only place we’ll stay if we ever go back to Santa Cruz! Thank you Khristina!

A Part of History!
This property is on the register of historic places and overlooks surfers. Close to all Santa Cruz is famous for: the beach, wharf, downtown, the boardwalk. Yet you feel privacy and intimacy with the town. We will be back!!
