Great spot!
Max was a communicative host. The basement apartment absolutely met our needs. We were close to food, bakeries, and the light rail. For our quick one night trip to Seattle, this is exactly what we needed.

Perfect Location, Perfect Host
Max was a great host and answered all the questions we had. His house is in a great location with perfect access to the light rail. We parked on Saturday morning and didnt move the car until Monday morning. 10/10 would love to stay again.

Seattle in Spring
A perfect location for our launching into the city by public transportation. The short walk to the train and bus station was refreshing. The owner was kind, flexible with our flight schedule, and open to answering questions. We recommend it for couples. Thanks for a cozy safe place to stay.

Clean, comfortable and accessible stay!
The suite was accurate to the description. Its small but was perfect for what we needed - comfy bed and the TV was nice. Super easy to get downtown, Capitol Hill or anywhere with transit. Close to the train station and a few great restaurants and a brewery nearby! Host Max was nice and responsive to any questions.

Great location
I enjoyed my stay at Max’s place. It was very convenient and comfortable. I took the light rail from SeaTac and to and from two Mariner games. The Beacon Hill Station is two blocks away. Super easy. The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable. As described it is down some stairs so keep that in mind. I hope to come back. Thanks Max!

Property was exactly as advertised. Max is excellent at communicating and helping with easy check in. It is so easy to see Seattle by public transport from here and 5 minutes walk are a great selection of shops and restaurants in a lovely safe and friendly community.

Very pleasant in older basement apartment in nice neighborhood
Only one night- so convenient to light rail and local restaurants. Owner was extremely responsive. My only issue was lots of steps leading down to apartment- but the owner happily carried my bag up on the way out so all good. I would stay there again.

Convenient, comfortable stay in Seattle
Max is an excellent host offering a comfortable and extremely convenient basement unit in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Seattle. Check-in was a breeze, Max communicated details prior to our stay and was gracious in accommodating our arrival time and provided a parking spot in the driveway. The basement unit has a private entrance down a set of stairs alongside of the house (flashlights were provided in case of nighttime entry/exit). The studio unit was comfortable (low ceilings but not too low for a couple of tall people to easily manage), with a TV (streaming & DVDs), mini fridge, microwave, electric kettle, Keurig coffee machine, and ample closet and storage space. The bathroom is out in the main shared area of the basement, and can be divided from the studio unit with a door that locks. We were quite pleased with the level of privacy, given the shared space, and were comfortable throughout the duration of our stay. Additional comforts like a bottle opener, cups, plates, silverware, coffee & tea were appreciated. The location of this space cannot be beat! We walked 3 blocks to a delightful neighborhood brewery (Perihelion) for delicious food and beverage before taking the light rail train to a stadium concert. The Beacon Hill light rail station is also about 3 blocks away, making it very easy to get around the city without the hassle of driving through traffic and finding parking. We look forward to staying here again for future trips to Seattle!

Wonderful!
I stayed at Max's place to save myself two hours of commuting each way to Seattle for a major work event. The neighborhood was fantastic, being able to walk to the light rail was perfection, and Max was a friendly and hospitable host! I found the bed to be very comfortable and the amenities (fridge, microwave) were just what I needed. I would definitely stay there again!

Fantastic and convenient!
I really can't say enough good about this place. Location, price, nearby services, easy communication with owner. Remember that it's a basement so of course there's some noise above. Everything is super clean and well cared for. Perfect for this hot early summer weekend because it's naturally cool. SO close to light rail for easy travel. Many restaurants nearby. Loved it!! Also there's a Keurig with plenty of K Cups provided and several kinds of tea. Perfect place for 1-2 people who like a quiet neighborhood

My son had the following to say: Great spot if you’re looking for somewhere to crash while taking a trip to the city! Very cozy and quaint! I do wish that the listing was more clear about the room existing on a shared floor of the home where they do their laundry. Although we did not run into anyone, we saw a few reports in previous reviews and felt slightly apprehensive. Overall Max is a lovely host to work with, and I would book again when returning.

Lovely stay in Seattle!
My sister and I enjoyed our stay in Seattle. The property is just as described and Max was very responsive and wonderful to work with. The home is near one of the main public transit lines making getting into the city a breeze. Would definitely stay again!

Great spot!
My friend and I stayed here for one night while visiting Seattle for a concert. It was perfect for what we needed! A short 10 minute Uber ride to downtown and the space is unique and spotless. I enjoyed the personal touches such as a welcome note and chocolate on the pillows, and Max was very responsive. The parking situation was super convenient and we walked to a Mexican restaurant by the name of El Quetzal - which was delicious. I will stay here again!

A perfect spot for a visit to Seattle
I had a lovely time staying here. Being a quick walk to the Beacon Hill light rail station made it perfect for trips into downtown Seattle and other areas. The room and bed were comfy. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever back in the area.

Perfect place for one or two people
This is the perfect place to stay to experience Seattle without needing to worry about renting a car. Very easy to get to and from the airport using the train. The train will also bring you just about anywhere else you want to get to in the city. This VRBO is a nice quiet place to stop and rest in between long days of exploring the great city of Seattle.

I’m so glad you had a great stay at our place in Seattle. Our location by the light rail does make it pretty easy to get here from the airport, get around town, and get back to where you landed without renting a car or even taking many Uber‘s. Come again anytime!

Comfy retreat
This renovated basement is a comfy retreat that's a great base for visiting the area. It's very close to the link rail line, in a neighborhood of beautiful houses, and near some great food options. In the main living area there is a sofa bed with a higher end sofa mattress that is very comfortable, a writing desk, a chair and ottoman, a smart TV, and a mini-fridge and microwave. The large room is nicely decorated with wonderful artwork, books, tons of DVDs and a few games. If needed, there is a space heater; I found I needed it a few times. You have a bathroom around the corner, as well as another small sitting area and an area with a utility sink. The bathroom is not adjacent to the bedroom, rather a short walk through the second sitting area and past the utility room. The stairs down to the door could benefit from a handrail for those like me who aren't young and nimble. I'd highly recommend this VRBO, it's a great location with a conscientious host.

Good, with all the basics
Max's finished basement was a nice place for a quick getaway. The bed is a couch pullout futon with a 1" memory foam topper. So not the most supportive bed, but it was fine for a couple nights. This place is best for a single person or a couple. We had everything we needed: our own small bathroom, a coat closet, a small fridge and microwave, a tea/coffee station, and a driveway parking spot. Max was very responsive in the app, but we felt free to come and go as we pleased. Plus the neighborhood is lovely!

Last Minute Weekend Stay

Great local spot
This spot is nestled perfectly in a quiet neighborhood just a couple of blocks away from a light rail station just like the listing says. Max was very responsive and accommodating and this really is an amazing option when you are "Carless in Seattle" and planning to spend your day on the town. We had a great stay at the property. The owner communicated very well. The location was close to public transportation, only about 2.7 miles from the stadiums. Go to b the Yard House for Korean Beef Bulgogi and Garlic Noodles. We would definitely stay at the property again.

Great basement location in Seattle outskirts
The property has many positives as it’s location is very close to the light rail which allows you to visit most of Seattle without a car. That said, it is a basement apartment with typical basement issues and the bed is a sofa bed. Communications were good with the owner and we did take advantage of the location to enjoy the best of Seattle. Close to the Budget car rental was also a plus.

Clean and comfy
This rental had all of the amenities we needed. We were out all day, so the microwave, and mini fridge were sufficient. If you Like to make meals, this might not be the right spot for you. I also am short, so the low ceiling in the sleeping area weren’t a problem. Not sure I would be as comfortable if we were taller. Max was super friendly, and the property was really close to public transit, grocery stores and restaurants. I would definitely stay again.

Great for a short stay
This is a very attractive but essentially windowless basement room offering more than a bedroom but less than an apartment. The main room is a well-decorated and immaculate bedroom with a reasonably comfortable sofa bed, microwave and mini-fridge. The space then meanders through an area with access from upstairs that has a counter with coffee maker, a few plates ,cups and glasses -- and a laundry. And your bathroom. Nonetheless, the owner asked before coming down and was wonderfully welcoming without intruding. For the price, a steal!

Pleasant Stay
I am originally from Seattle and was trying to find a close place near my parents and where I grew up, so not to stay with elderly during Covid. This was a charming, clean basement room. It is dark, windows are covered by walkway above, but I love the dark. This is a room/apartment, so there is life above you, but it was very quiet at night, no problems. My only thought would be maybe an extra night light out in the hallway as you head to the bathroom. Very clean and updated bathroom, with a towel, soap and chocolate kiss upon arrival and a lovely note on the door welcoming me. I would definitely stay here again. It is very central to everything. Thank you!

Perfect for a work trip or weekend getaway!
This property is so cozy it was easy to feel right at home as soon as you walked in. Extra brownie points for how INCREDIBLY comfortable the bed was! I woke up feeling more rested than ever before heading into work for the week.

Everything was perfect, however, if a guest is to share a bathroom with someone, they should be told ahead of time. I understand that usually they do not share a bathroom, but for those occassions that they do, please let us know first.
