Quaint older home, clean
Property is an older home with all its charms, clean anna comfortable. Well stocked kitchen work new appliances. Only one bathroom is the only downfall. Off Street parking is nice. Overall good experience.

Nice place in the heart of South Hill
Great place to stay. A little hard to find at first. Don't trust Apple Maps. Air conditioning was not quite adequate but we were there when it 96 degrees and no wind at night. I would stay here again.

Perfect taste of Spokane!
We loved the older home in this area of Spokane! We walked to Manito Park and went to Rockwood Bakery every day (I'll be dreaming about those scones for a while). Very convenient to Riverfront Park! We traveled with our daughters who are 3 years old and 19 months. Apparently, they sounded like a herd of elephants after the long car ride to get to the home. The owner was very understanding (& hopefully the downstairs neighbors were too after things calmed down).

Great location and nice property
This was the perfect property for a home base to visit our college age daughter. We brought three teens and enjoyed the proximity to the university and downtown. Nice, bright windows and plenty of sleeping space. We needed some additional linens and the property manager was responsive and helpful. We’d love to stay here again!

One of the worst stays I have had. In fact we left after the first night and just canceled our trip. It was 9°F outside and this place did not have proper heating. Couldn’t get the temperature over mid 50s. And that was in the three room that had heat. The rest of the apartment was not heated. One of the door handles was broken and several items, including the fold out bed, were taped together.

Cute and Lots of Potential
Cute, convenient, and nothing too bad just little things that could have made it a 5-star experience. The cleaner and a repairman was still there when we showed up (we were not early to our check-in time) and they didn't really state who they were so the door was just open and it was all quite awkward, and the cleaner left but didn't pick up her dirty rags/Swiffer mop pads and obviously had not completed the entire unit. There were crumbs all over the kitchen and bedding that didn't look clean. The carpet should really be replaced too but that's enough with the negative- the patio area was adorable and it really wasn't bad after a bumpy start.

Close, but not quite...
The location was perfect for our needs and the space was generally okay, but a collection of small issues diminished our enjoyment. The screen door to the deck patio had a broken hinge, so the door fell off repeatedly. It was more than inconvenient, it was also hazardous. The water connection for the refrigerator leaked, so water puddled repeatedly in the middle of the kitchen floor. The cold water for the shower could not be turned off completely, and the overall cleanliness of the place was not terrific - socks and bare feet, even when staying inside and off the patio, quickly became very dirty. With a few changes, the place could be so much better.

Great little place snugged in the corner. Not too far from downtown Spokane or from other parks (within a 10 min drive). Place was nice and quite, perfect for a little get away. Some things to take-away from this review: -Apartment is somewhat old. Expect lots of creaky floor boards. We tried to be quiet as possible to not be loud to the neighbors down below but you it's hard to avoid the creaky floorboards. -Locks on the doors are old as well. Not the best locks to play with, but they work. -Doors to the apartment are not the safest installation. Glass door to get into the building from below and then a closet door to get into the apartment. I would've loved a possible regular house door with a deadlock bolt (The neighbor hood seemed quiet too so probably wasn't necessary). Closing thoughts would be that it's a very nice and one of the cheaper stays on here. I wouldn't mind renting it again.

Comfortable
This was a comfortable place for our family to stay while in Spokane overnight en route to the Hiawatha bike trail. An issue with check in due to housekeeping mixup was swiftly dealt with by the owners, who were very responsive. Very quiet with nice view of the cathedral from the backyard patio space. We enjoyed our stay.

We love this place. Our second time staying there. Plenty of room for 6 of us and has a funky cool retro feel to it. Brought 2 cars this time, plenty of room to park. Will stay here again.

Cozy apartment in nice neighborhood
We had to stay in apartment most of the time because of heat wave. We really appreciate they already turned the air conditioning on before arrival. We like the location and the neighborhood area. We would choose to stay here again when we come back to Spokane.

Amazing property
This apartment was very nice. Clean, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen. Exactly like the pictures and descriptions stated. Centrally located to all local attractions made getting around seemless. Would rent again.

Amazing spot, okay for family, poorly cleaned.
Spokane is beautiful, and we stayed happy and busy at the many parks, lakes, hiking trails and restaurants. Go to Tubbs Hill and Fish Lake! We are an active family and loved that we were close enough to walk to many places downtown. This rental is in a nice, safe neighborhood with two very good grocery stores near. The house was nice enough for the price, not great. It has only one bathroom, which I knew, but if you have a large group it was tough. The grill, which I bought food for and was ready to cook before I realized it, was out of propane. This was difficult, as I was already cooking and had to go get it since the property owners did not offer to help when I called. But I left a bottle for the next guy! The grill was so disgusting it took me an hour to clean and the refrigerator was also disgusting, which, especially during covid seems unreasonable. Overall a good experience for the cost, but I would not stay again.

Not too shabby
The house is very cute and clean. It has some broken stuff in it which is expected in an older house. My family and I went up for Easter weekend and had a great time but we give it a 3-star rating for it not being what we expected. Pros: Great communication with the host The view was beautiful The bathroom was updated and big and spacious The home had a very welcoming and homey feel to it Large kitchen for cooking Separate laundry room Very well built as the walls were soundproof when the washer and dryer were going. Wild turkeys and squirrels were fun to see The cathedral is beautiful There were books and a few board games as well as some movies The couch is really comfortable Cons: It claimed it sleeps 8 but at best it sleeps 7 unless you count the pack and play in the closet and you are willing to bunk people together Not enough blankets for everyone We ran out of propane for the grill halfway through dinner The ice maker on the fridge didnt work The deck was nice but very overcrowded There were no pellets for the woodstove inside or wood for the fire pit outside so could not enjoy those There was no Disney plus as stated but only Netflix There was a nail sticking up in the entryway and two of us cust our foot on it. The beds are not very comfortable and the king bed is so close to the wall that I bruised my legs 3 times trying to get around the frame. Would have preferred the kitchen to be stocked a little more with seasonings. The kitchen had no kitchen towels but only a roll of paper towels which makes it tough to clean the kitchen. No broom No Televisions in the bedrooms It is a nice place but I would not recommend it for people with young kids or people who walk heavily as you are on the top floor. There also isn't much room for kids to run around. The steps going into a place are very small and easy to trip over so would not recommend it for people who struggle walking.

Great spot to stay in Spokane
This property was perfect for our group of 6 as everyone had a place to stay and it had a great kitchen where we were able to cook meals. The house is also in a nice neighborhood that is about a 5 minute drive to downtown and walking distance to restaurants and a grocery store.

Comfortable weekend to move into Gonzaga
Great property with lovely views from Balcony. We enjoyed getting take out from the vegan restaurant just 25 yards from the property. Adjacent to a walkable neighborhood and Manito Park, as well as several restaurants. The beds were comforable, linens plentiful, and kitchen well-stocked for our needs. One suggestion is to have a clean sponge upon arrival for guests, as it was rather old. This is particularly important during the COVID-19 pandemic and the only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars for cleanliness. I would definitely stay here again.

An outstanding stay. I traveled with my two adult children who both wanted to live in this apartment. It was close to my mom's house, spacious, and had everything we needed. I notice a previous reviewer had mentioned the windows opposite the shower--these have been covered (with a shade AND curtain). We appreciated being able to have breakfast each day in the kitchen as well as midnight snacks. We loved the deck with its view of the cathedral. I am *very* picky about linens and can report that the bedsheets were smooth and comfortable. We also liked being able to walk to Manito Park. We will stay here again.

Relaxing after dropping off daughter at college
Great place, very comfortable and relaxing. We were dropping our daughter at EWU and wanted a place to relax afterwards and this place was perfect. Comfortable beds, comfy couch to lay on and watch redbox with the wife. Will definitely look at staying again. Had to contact the owner about a battery for the tv remote. He responded quickly.

Trip to Spokane with grandkids
Overall the apartment was comfortable. It felt like there were too many tables cluttering up the apartment. When staying for an extended period it would be nice to have some dressers or cabinets to put clothes, instead of so many little tables in closets and rooms. The cover for the pull out bed was soiled and we mentioned that to housekeeping.

Close to the Hospital!
Loved staying here! Delightful older Craftsman style house totally renovated into 3 apartments. This 2 bedroom apartment is the whole upstairs. Totally updated in a mission/Craftman style decor. Large kitchen. Large living room. Large bedrooms. Loved the deck but watch out or that first step! Thank you for the nice bottle of wine, water, snacks and coffee. Thank you for the excellent directions too. Never would have found it without the Hawthorne Place clue. I felt very safe and felt like my car was safe in the carport too. Nice neighborhood. Would have loved to have had time to walk around and look at all the amazing old houses. Also lots of places to eat within walking distance. I came from out of town for an early morning doctor's appointment and it was so nice to be 5 min. from Sacred Heart's Doctor building. Thanks for renting. So much better than the alternative of 2 hotel rooms.

Historic neighborhood - convenient location
Approximately a 100 year old home converted to apartments . Lots of space for our family of 5. Many thoughtful tabletops for toiletry bags and personal items. Upgraded appliances. Games, books and movies for you to enjoy . Very near Riverfront Park and Manito Park. Nearby bakery, grocery stores and local restaurants including a vegan cafe out your side door. Less appealing moments include an extra firm (highly uncomfortable) mattress on the king bed. I had to sleep on the sofa. Also. A musty smell in the stairwell common with older homes. Overall, a great place to stay!

The property amenities were nice but the condition of the apartment was a bit of a hodge lodge. My biggest concern was the lack of privacy in the bathroom that looked straight across to other apartment windows. I hung bath towels over windows as a work around. The pull out bed mattress had some seriously gross stains. The front door would not close so we had to leave the place unsecured last night when we went out. I had to call the property owner for directions and access, no email received.

Great South Hill apartment!
Classic older apartment that has been remodeled but retains great older home touches. We were only there for two nights, but we will come back and stay longer! Very easy access to get in without needing to contact the owners, but a bottle of wine in the kitchen let us know we were expected and welcomed! Within walking distance of restaurants including the Rockwood Bakery, one of our favorite morning spots.

Great apartment just north of downtown Spokane
This was a great property to stay at. Even though it is older than the pictures appear, the proper is well maintained and clean. The owner, Pete, was great to work with. Property is conveniently located just north of downtown.
