Comfy and cozy -Exceeded Expectations
The pictures do not do this cabin justice!! Upon arrival, the property is absolutely beautiful. You can immediately tell the owners care and take pride. Then you walk through the little gate and the experience just keeps getting better! The view is spectacular and the grounds are well kept. You feel like you’re in your own private slice of relaxation. The cabin is immaculate and incredibly well maintained. Besides the antique accents (amazing fridge and click button switches) it’s hard to believe it’s almost 100 years old. It’s oozing with both charm and comfort! Everything is well laid out with enough signs posted to give you the details you need, but not overwhelming notes and rules everywhere like some places I’ve stayed. We didn’t want for anything during our stay. The bed is comfy, but quite soft. I love that, but my partner prefers a firmer mattress. It was rainy and cold while we were there, but I can imagine it being so lovely to sleep with the door open and just be lulled by the sound of the river. By far one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in a vacation rental.

Rejuvenating stay at the River Rouge Cabin
I booked this cabin as a surprise for my husband’s 30th birthday, and it was the BEST stay we have ever had. The cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway. It is well equipped for a comfortable stay. The highlight of the cabin was its deck with the river view and the hot-tub. Every need was thought off with logs for fire pit to extra towels for hot-tub. We loved our stay here and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend the cabin.

Beautiful location
Great location on the river close to Crater lake. The outdoor space was amazing and it was nice sleeping with the doors open to hear the river and feel the cool air. Would definitely stay again.

Charming cabin, wonderful location
Such a cute cottage w antique furnishings. So nice and private and able to sit on porch overlooking river. Very private. Private hot tub and sauna. Enclosed yard for our dog. Only glitche was with check in and I don’t think it was their fault. The house was a little Smokey as I think the wind was coming down the flew. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone who enjoys privacy and quaintness!

It's a unique cabin with a real old timey feel. Quaint. Perfect for a get away. The problem is going through Expedia and then VRBO for communication regarding what to do to get set up. I was supposed to receive an email or correspondence from someone other than the host (who was excellent in getting back to us quickly when it mattered), and that never made it to my inbox. That is not the first time this sort of thing has happened when going through Expedia to book flights, trips, stays of any sort. Save yourself a massive headache and a ruined anniversary getaway and book straight through VRBO. Thanks a lot Expedia

Exceeded Expectations
Our expectations were already high, but this cabin was even better than anticipated. It’s quite charming with a mix of antique (1920s stove/fridge) and present day amenities (AC, sauna, hot tub). Beautifully maintained and they allow dogs. I can’t recommend it enough.

Lovely riverside location
Just like the photo! Such a beautiful, tranquil setting for sunrise to sunset views. Loved the 1930s decorative touches in the cabin. About an hour’s drive to Crater Lake through gorgeous forest.

Great little cabin on the river
We enjoyed our stay in the cabin at rogue river lodge. The cabin itself is well appointed - it has everything you need including air conditioning for those hot summer days. The owners have thought about pretty much everything. The back deck was the highlight - a great place to relax right on the river. In terms of improvement, the only thing that comes to mind is that the mattress in the bedroom has seen better days. We were also a bit confused, as the VRBO listing says that breakfast is included. Some reviewers mention breakfast, but we were not offered that. However, the home made breakfast burritos are great at the Trail Market.

Thank you Dennis for your feedback. You may have seen some older reviews when we did include breakfast, however we stopped providing breakfast as of June 2021 as part of our amenities. We apologize if this was not clear in our listing.

Great cabin getaway by Crater Lake
I highly recommend staying in this cabin as a romantic getaway with your loved one. It’s romantic, relaxing, and homey all in one. Definitely feels like a home away from home while creating a serene place to unwind. Only slightly over an hour from Crater Lake, and lots of camping, water sports, fishing, etc to enjoy while there. Great two years in a row. Wouldn’t change a thing!

Crater Lake Visit and Relaxation
We loved everything about the cabin. It was so peaceful to fall asleep listening to the river. The cabin is an oasis and has a very calming vibe. Communication with the property manager was quick and easy. I felt that she genuinely cared about the quality of our stay. We will be back for another visit.

You’re so close to the river! The sounds if the water and the birds. Waking up to this and having coffee on the deck, ahh…beautiful. Hot tub was also a lovely thing.

What a gem!
We enjoyed the gorgeous scenery and lovely town! Everyone in Shady Cove is just so sweet and they all made out stay so much better! There are beautiful hiking trails, and lots of places for fishing. The cabin was adorable and we loved it! Our doggies had so much fun and I'm pretty sure they never wanted to leave 🤣😍

Our favorite place to stay
My husband and I spend a weekend at this cabin every year to celebrate our anniversary. Peaceful, relaxing, and stress free! Cabin has every thing you need. The bed is super comfortable. The addition of the hot tub and sauna over the years makes it even better! Lots of bird watching along the river. Beautiful sunsets. Surely, we’ll back be again next March.

Great little cabin on the river- perfect for 2
Such a well appointed cabin, perfect for a weekend getaway. The sauna, hot tub, and old cast iron tub were well used, and so relaxing! The kitchen had everything we needed, and we loved all the antique pieces- the fridge is so cool and clearly well loved over the years. I wouldn't hesitate to book this again or consider it for an event. Very well kept property, and we really enjoyed the fact that it had some history.

Magical weekend
Had an absolutely wonderful weekend at the cabin. We enjoyed using the hot tub and sauna, looking over the river at sunrise/sunset. Had a great time tending the fire and exploring the nearby town. Highly highly recommend a stay here!

This property was amazing, and just right if you have a four legged companion as well. The view is stunning and the cabin is just right for an intimate stay with your partner. Ann was amazing and so friendly. Would def recommend, and might even be back ourselves!

Fairy Tail Perfection
If you’re thinking about staying here just book it already! Perfect location and great amenities. We had fires (inside and out) every night, and everything we needed to cook dinner in. Sitting on the deck enjoying our morning coffee made me never want to actually leave for the day, because it was so pleasant and relaxing! Loved everything about the cottage!

Amazing Romantic Cabin Retreat
I absolutely loved the Rogue River Cabin! I’m so happy I found this romantic cozy cabin with a hot tub and sauna. The manager was the sweetest. My fiancé proposed to me on our stay because it felt like the perfect time and location. The property is absolutely beautiful and the cabin is so cozy we did not want to leave.

Anne was a great host and checked in to make sure we were happy. Cabin is right on the river and great views from the deck. Comfortable lodging and pet friendly. Great food close by at goebels country store and macs. Great location for day trips to crater lake and diamond lake.

Best stay on the Rogue !
Over the past ten years we have been to three different rentals on the Rogue River. This VRBO was hands down the best!! Quiet location on the riverfront with a superb host. A rustic cabin totally updated. Has we had more time we would probably have used the hot tub and sauna. We hope to return when the salmon runs again.

Anne was a wonderful hostess. Very accommodating.
Having our own private happy hour with a bottle of wine on the deck next to the river was wonderful. Falling asleep to the sound of the river was so peaceful. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a quiet and private location to relax.

Thoughtful host, beautiful location.
My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary here this August and we really enjoyed this home away from home (from Minnesota!). It has all you need for cooking, bathing, relaxation and just a beautiful place to get away. Our host, Anne stopped by to say hi and introduce herself to us. She also brought her dog Maddie to say hi to our pup (who couldn't make the trip) but it was very thoughtful. We recommend this spot and would love to return soon.

Darling Cabin on the Rogue
This location was absolutely charming! It has a beautiful deck overlooking the river where we ate all our meals, lots of wildlife to watch on the river, and fun period pieces such as the stove and refrigerator. The hot tub, sauna and chair swings are all great amenities. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend staying here!!

Incredible stay on the river
My partner and I had the most amazing time at this property. The views are unbeatable and there's so much to do in the area. Spending time just relaxing by the river, going in the sauna, and reading on the patio was priceless. One of the best stays we've had and we will absolutely be back!
