There are big cockroaches in the bathroom, I wouldn't here stay again. I do not recommend it!

Grandpa's Inn was a wonderful place to stay in Vigan, with great character, kind staff, and delicious food. Within an easy walking distance of everything in Vigan.

We enjoyed our stay at Grandpa's Inn and are glad we chose this for 3 days. There were some improvements that I'd like to share about the facilities, where their comfort room wasn't that clean as mostly it was dusty and no trash can was provided in our room. Also, we had to request for a light bulb for our bedside lamp. In regards to the free breakfast, I'd suggest considering more food options especially Halal food for those who don't eat pork or have any dietary restrictions. Overall, it was a good stay and really loved the vintage vibe of Grandpa's Inn. :)

The hotel matches the cultural heritage area where it is located, but what I noticed most is the outstanding staff - ever courteous, polite and accommodating.

The hotel was very interesting. Very many antics. Service great and great location. My bed was a bit high needed a chair to get in.

We loved this property. The family room we got was pretty big (1 queen size bed and 2 single beds). I understand why people complained about the loud noise from the vehicles, however during our stay it was actually not that bad - we were able to have pretty good sleep. We also enjoyed their free breakfast meals and tried their restaurant.

everything is great and comfortable. food is amazing and staff are very accommodating. my only issue is the payment terms where credit card is not available. over all experience is amazing nonetheless

Truly feels like staying in your Grandpa's home
The place was very cozy, the house, though old was well kept. I specifically book them because of their picturesque interior. However, the painting on rooms on the wall seems off for me. Since the brick wall already served as an accent wall, the other walls should have been painted plain already. The complimentary gifts were great too! Generous!

Beautiful property. The only issue was tv not working and cockroach in the bathroom (is that normal in a rustic property?) Otherwise, we love the property and would come back. Hopefully they treat roach infestation.

Great Property - Old World Charm
While the property oozes old world charm, the staff is super friendly and the food is great, the location while being close to the trendy Calle Crisologo, unfortunately it's located at the crossing of Quirino Bvld and Calle Bonifacio. As a result it's noisy 24/7 with the traffic especially on Quirino Bvld. So sleeping peacefully can be an issue.

Noisy room, couldnt sleep
You could hear the noise of every single tricycle, jeep, horse and car passing by all through the night. Even with earplugs, the honking would jolt me awake. There are only 2 tv channels. Wifi was strong though and breakfast was good.

Brilliant, will stay here again
Hotel is right in the middle of the main city. Amenities close by and accessible (walking distance) to the landmarks. Staff were very friendly and very accommodating. My parents also booked a room on the day and it was an easy process. We were all looked after.

grandpa's inn is near the outer edge of the touristy areas of vigan though it's just a block or two away from calle crisologo. history buffs would love he building as it is rich in heritage. staff were super friendly and helpful. given that the building is vintage, i think the rooms need ventilation to air out. the room, while clean and the beds comfy, had stale/putrid smell that may cause some concern to some guests. overall, it was a nice stay. if you want to stay at an original vintage building in vigan, this is included in your options.

Negative: Reception sent me to their annex which is next to the main hotel, no wifi signal whatsoever in that building. Small room with small beds, mattress too soft. Water heater runs hot and cold. Positive: 1 hour complimentary kalesa ride, free breakfast, walking distance to Plaza, quiet surroundings.

Lovely Old Spanish house accommodation
Grandpa’s Inn was successful in giving us a feel of an old Spanish house in Vigan which is the primary concept of this place. The staff were all very kind and helpful showcasing the Filipino tradition of kindness and politeness 😊 The hotel staff arranged for us everything we needed from arranging the caritela tour ride and buying the souvenirs we wanted. Location is close to the heritage area and they provided parking for our 2 night stay. Its a shame that since their building had kept the old Spanish windows, noise and pollution from the tricycles penetrated thru the walls of our rooms making it uncomfortable during early morning until about 9pm 😩

We had a pleasant experience staying in this room. We arrived at the hotel before check-in time, and they accommodated us which was an A+. The breakfast was great. We had an option to choose our food. The only thing I didn’t like was there was some confusion in the end that they were claiming I didn’t pay. I told them I paid through Orbitz, and they kept on insisting I didn’t pay. After 10 minutes, they finally said I paid.

The staff is great and accommodating but the facility. Yes it is a shared bathroom but it was dirty and not well kept. Mud and dirt in the shower room. Cockroaches in the bedroom. It was hard to cancel thru Expedia and look for a new hotel thru Expedia. We had to literally walk around to look for hotels.

Nice but not so nice
We stayed in this hotel 2nd week of feb 2017 . We reserved the family room for four adults and two kids , but we were placed at their annex room and the family room is too small for us so we took another room next to it . These rooms was accross the main building and within the restaurant, the restaurant restroom is adjacent to our rooms and people are smoking in it and we can smell smoke in our rooms also noisy with people going to the restroom. The room price was too much for its condition and where it's located compared to the main building rooms. The rooms are air condition with hot water but the beds are not comfortable. there's is no housekeeping , no phones in the room to ask for help at the desk . No internet in the rooms The good advantage is that tourist spots are walkable. BReakfast is good .

Don't sleep there
I reserved a regular room with private bath plus air condition plus breakfast plus wifi, when I arrived there I founded that they made changes to room title ( old trוck) and my room title became a -room without bath and without AC, I waste 3 hours at the reception, at the end they gave me a very small noisy room( above the raod, yes the room is just on the road) with no wifi. I didnt get my breakfast too, I asked for refund but they would not agree for that. Horrible, horrible.
