Perfect cabin for a Romantic Getaway or grab a few friends and hit the slopes or the snow mobile trails up north. This newly renovated lake house has plenty of room and is sure to de-stress you as soon as you walk in. We are located 10 minutes from Kettlebowl Ski Hill and about 20 minutes away from Paul Bunyan Ski Hill. You can also unload your snow mobile in the drive way and meet up with the Forest County Snow Mobile Trails. Windows in the living room/kitchen overlooking the lake will make you feel like your living in a snow globe if the weather conditions allows. Kick your feet up and just relax at this beautiful property.

The perfect Fall northwoods getaway
The property was clean and had everything we needed and more! The neighborhood was quiet. We watched the sunrise from the deck with our coffee, went fishing off the dock & read peacefully by the wood burning fireplace - can’t wait to come back!

Perfectly cozy
Clean, quiet and cozy! This was the perfect place to stay for a relaxing up north getaway with the family. Everything was clean and the beds were super comfortable. We fished off the dock, took the kayaks out and had a campfire every single day. The beach area recommended right down the street was perfect for little kids.

The house is beautiful, fully equipped. The row boat (we brought our trolling motor), the 2 kayaks were used daily!!! We caught a lot of fish and one northern (released). A lot of fun and enjoyed ourselves! Highly recommend!!

This property was very nice and it deserves the many good reviews that is has received. The owners go above and beyond in providing you with what you need to enjoy your stay. The no wake lake is peaceful and was perfect for our kids to fish and paddle around. We had a great time. I would highly recommend!

Quiet and Relaxing
We enjoyed our stay at the LakeHouse.First impression when I walked in was how good it smelled - the candles and/or air fresheners on top of the cleanliness were perfect. It had all the comforts of home. I could imagine curling up on the sofa in front of the fireplace on a cold evening. There’s plenty of living space both upstairs and downstairs. My favorite thing to do was sit on the wrap-around deck and drink my coffee while the sun made its way up over the lake. I spent a lot of time visiting with family in the area so I didn’t have a chance to take the canoe or kayaks out. However, we built a fire one night - they have wood cut and dry available - and we enjoyed making s’mores. The cons list is short - the wifi wasn’t great but this is due to the remote location and not any fault of the owners. Also they have lots of dvds to watch. I think the downstairs bedroom is meant to be the master as it overlooks the lake but I stayed upstairs so I didn’t have to go upstairs for late night bathroom runs. It worked out well because my niece and her baby were able to sleep downstairs without us keeping them up. I would definitely book them again.

Loved staying here for an extended weekend with my family! The house was so cute and cozy and the view of the lake from the balcony was perfect for loon watching or just relaxing. The host had the place stocked with linens, amble of cooking gadgets, including cooking spices! The host was so easy to communicate with and gave so many local recommendations of places to eat. Would highly recommend staying here :)

Great Place!
First, the photos represent this property perfectly and the host (Courtney) was very responsive to every message we sent. I can't say enough about the hosts. The lake is super peaceful without having outboard engines on it. When I say peaceful, I mean it. It was such a change from other lakes up North. We used the rowboat with a trolling motor and it was easy cruising the lake. Just relaxing outside not having to hear ski boats or anything for that matter was awesome. Every afternoon we put our tubes in the water off the dock and just chilled in the clean water. Plus the loons kept us company. Fishing! We've never been on a lake in the North Woods with this type of action. Our son (16) caught a 35" Northern and so many bass we couldn't count. He caught them in the kayak, off the pier and in the boat. I'm in my 40s and I nabbed my biggest large mouth I've ever caught (2.5lbs). And get this...we mainly used plastics. We were here in late July and rubber worm jigs seemed to work on the bass and a chatter bait got that massive Northern. Catch and release, keep em growing. Above all, everything was thought of at this property. They have everything. We cooked on the gas grill on the deck, the charcoal grill down below and in the kitchen. If you want to relax, unplug and unwind, this is the place. We hope to back next Summer.

Windfall Lake R and R!
Adorable lakeside home!! Enough room for all to spread out and enjoy. The yard is big, able to accommodate a badminton net and a Cornhole set. The deck is spacious with a grill and plenty of room to enjoy a meal outside watching the loons, ducks, eagles, ospreys and green herons. The kayaks, row boat and canoe are an added bonus. Used the campfire pit every night, lots of laughs and reminiscing with our family. Fisherman's shoreline, which we knew but made the best of it. Not a bother getting into the boat with lilly pads. Makes a good habitat for bullfrogs which are awesome to hear. Well stocked kitchen and other amenities that were provided were plentiful. (toilet paper, garbage bags, etc) The cabin is on a non motorized lake, not a problem launching a small boat (launch is a minute away) just used the trolling motor with the motor trimmed up. If you wish to swim or use a jet ski, plenty of other lakes to explore within minutes. Had a wonderful stay and if I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!! ⭐

Independence Day 2023 Escape
The Lake House is just as described. Great location, clean, and quiet. The hosts are very accommodating. Use of a row boat, two kayaks and a canoe on this no wake lake. My son caught a 36" Northern Pike in July, a welcome bonus! Our family would stay here again.

Everything was PERFECT
We stay at homes on waterfront property all the time. What makes this home different is: the perfect view across a quiet (no gas motors) lake without any buildings in sight, the wonderful dock and 2 kayaks and 1 canoe that we used every single day, the large firepit and supply of well seasoned firewood (and lighters, and firestarters, etc.), the living room with a big enough sofa for all to hangout and talk, the kitchen table with views of everything I just mentioned, the quiet bedroom downstairs with access to the yard and the same views as above, all the small doggy stuff (bed, crate, etc), good water pressure in the shower, quick responses from the homeowners for local eats and activities, and we even met a few of the neighbors who gave us lots of tips! NOTE: don't paddle closer than 50 years to the loon nest across the lake, against DNR rules and you could flush the nesting loon mom! We saw eagles every day, after the neighbors told us to listen for the loon cries and to immediately look up cuz it means eagles!

Love this cabin!
We had a great time up on Windfall Lake. Leif and Courtney did an incredible job with this cabin! The view on the deck in the morning is incredible and the yard is absolutely awesome for yard games and fires. Not a Great Lake for swimming but we knew that so we took lots of trips with the kayaks!

Great Lake Retreat!
Some friends and I headed up north for a weekend of snowmobiling....and we sure had a great time! The lake house was perfect for my buddies and I to warm up, play some cards and enjoy the peace and quiet of the lake life. We'll absolutely be coming back next year. Thank you!

Perfect quiet location and comfy place
My husband, small dogs and I would absolutely recommend staying here! This was my first time booking something like this and right from the get go, Courtney was very friendly and welcoming. Her and her husband were quick to respond to my questions, very thoughtful on the extra touches, accommodating and easy to book/communicate with! ~ We knew it was going be a relaxing vacation from the moment we pulled into the driveway and had a clear view of the lake. It was absolutely peaceful and very serene right from the start. The lake house looks exactly like it does in the pictures- stylish, well decorated, clean, modern and spacious. Not to mention, the hosts had everything we needed to feel at home, and we treated it as such. We had planned on staying in, so brought meals to cook however, the host had recommendations to places if you choose to venture out. Side note … We recommend visiting the candy store Sweet Memories and Mikes Superstore (get yourselves some Mikes brats!) which is only about a half hour drive away. ~ We booked end of September which also added to the cozy feeling. They provided wood, so I was able to light a fire and keep us all snuggly at night which added to the ambience of a very quiet and calming place. The downstairs bed was a wonderful king size and was an extremely comfortable mattress. I seriously think I got the best sleep of my life there! You know sometimes on a vacation you can’t wait to return home and sleep in your own comfy bed? Well, you won’t feel that way at all here! ~ They provide outdoor fun things as well. The grill and seating on the deck was great with a view that is absolutely peaceful and spectacular, they have two kayaks, a canoe, and even a regular fishing boat/poles etc. I kayaked on the lake every day and it was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced- SO serene! One of the days the Wi-Fi was out which is uncontrollable/expected in the Northwoods but they provide plenty of fun things to get your mind off of not being ‘connected’ which was quite all right with me! Nice to play some old nostalgic board games to pass the time away. Ugh…I feel I could say so many more great things about this place but, words will not do it any justice. I just can’t say enough about this Lakehouse! We absolutely have NO complaints and was THE MOST serene and relaxing experience. We will definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

The cottage is cute, clean, and cozy. Kitchen was well stocked with coffee maker, utensils, etc.. All beds were comfy. 2 teen boys loved making s'mores over the fire pit. Fun paddling in canoe and kayaks. Lovely evenings eating dinner on the deck while viewing the lake. Getting to town takes a bit of time - so bring supplies or stop on way up. A bit weedy near dock if you want to swim. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. Our pup loved it too!

A great week at the lake!
Wonderful vacation getaway. Beautiful views of lake. The cottage is attractive, nicely furnished and decorated, and everything you could need was provided. Hosts also left a list of great local eateries. Wildlife abounds around the lake. We had a Blue Heron on the dock, spotted two pairs of Loons with babies, and had two Bald Eagles on frequent flights on the far side of the lake.

This lake house was the perfect retreat for our family! Very clean and inviting home. Beautiful setting! Friendly neighbors. Excellent communication from homeowners. Couldn’t recommend it more! We loved our stay here! If you have a little one, bring a baby gate for the stairs. That’s the one thing we forgot!

superb location
we needed this vacation!!!!!! the house was clean and very well maintain. but the location was the best . If you like resting in peace in the middle of nowhere we highly recommend this property . The host was very responsive and acommodating . the boat that we rented help a lot with fun on the water . we are very happy with everything.

The property was very well kept on a small quiet lake. It was very wooded and remote, perfect for relaxing and using our Stand Up Paddleboards. The owners allowed us to have my 9 lb dog stay with us. Everything was clean and modern, which made our stay enjoyable.
