I couldn’t have been happier with our decision to stay here. Wilderswil is a charming, peaceful town that has great views of the mountains and easy proximity to all the fun of the region, without the crowds of Interlaken. With the train station only a 10-minute walk away, plus free parking at the house, it was easy for us to get to activities in Interlaken, Giessbach, Lauterbrunnen, Schilthorn, etc. and come back in the evening to have dinner and stroll through the small, picturesque streets of Wildswil. There are several restaurants near the house. We also bought groceries and cooked several times at the house.
The house itself was the perfect size for our family of four, and had everything we needed. Hosts Pascal and Cindy were very helpful and responsive. Remember to ask for the regional tourism card—that will give you free train and bus rides to Interlaken, as well as discounts at Harder Kulm and other spots.
The house has two comfortable bedrooms (one with a queen bed, one with a double bed). There is also a loft with a double bed, but note that it has a low ceiling—so, it’s perfect for kids, but probably not comfortable for an adult couple.
