Sweet and Relaxing
Time to catch up on life with friends sitting on deck in the evenings and enjoying the several hang out rooms inside. Large windows make the river seem close. And at night the lightening bugs covered the outside. Close enough to Wimberley to shop and eat a leisurely late lunch. But sitting on the back deck for wine and appetizers and sharing was the best. A storm went through out 2nd night downing leaves and large limbs. The owners cousins stopped by and even blew off the deck so we could sit outside that last evening.

Charming house on the river!
Perfect house to stay in for a visit to Wimberley. Very close to town square but has a secluded feel and is quiet with a beautiful view of the river. We enjoyed watching deer every morning and evening from the deck and generous windows. This house was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with the items needed to cook meals. All of the decor added to the charm of this house we would stay in again without hesitation.

Extraordinary time at Frog Cottage
I’m still on cloud nine from our weekend In Wimberley and staying at Frog Cottage. This was our second stay at the property and I could not have been more pleased with the experience. The house is ideal and located within walking distance of downtown Wimberley. The property the house is on is out of a dream -deer grazed on the lawn in the morning light. Hawks flew over head at dusk. I would never imagine staying anywhere else when in Wimberley. Can’t wait to go back!

Will be back!
Our stay was great! Location was a 5 min walk to the square! Place was clean and had a great view. For us it was perfect as far as price, location, privacy, and amenities. Will return when it gets warmer to enjoy the river.

CUTIEST
Oh I love this house. Its not that far from Wimberly, Right on the Blanco river. And everything about this house is so beautiful ,the decorations ,the way the house was set up .Away from the city and the noise. And had no problem communication with renter. Love the deck thats were we were at most of the time lol.Will be coming again and hopefully this cute little charming house will be available .Loved seeing the deer in the morning come through the yard to.Thank yall again for letting us stay

Dust and spiders
Great place would stay there again. Master bathroom the ledges all need to be cleaned very dusty cobwebs killed 2 spiders cob webs under sink. Under the bed is dirty. Some if the screens outside have a lot of cobwebs just needs to be brushed off with a broom. There was a bowl under sink in kitchen with some pods hope they were for the dishwasher there was no lable It may say under the description of the property about deer. They are everywhere and beautiful but I think people probably need to be told they are there and to watch for them when driving down the drive way because they will jump out in front of your car. Would have been nice to have a throw blanket or two in living room Master bed needs a foam topper bed pretty hard Thank you

Perfect getaway
Located within walking distance of town, this was the perfect spot. Although rivers were dry there’s a spring fed swimming hole behind the property. Made for a great weekend.

Relaxing, cozy cottage close to Wimberley square
Stayed with my Mom and 3 sisters at the Frog Cottage for a quick trip to get away and enjoy the cute little town of Wimberley. From the moment we drove up, we were awed with the beauty of the surroundings and privacy. The best part of this cottage is the gorgeous large backyard backing up to the Blanco River! The old, huge trees are beautiful and provide lots of shade to be able to sit out on the big deck and enjoy the views of the river and the family of deer that visits each day. The gentle sloping lawn allows for easy access to the river. While waters levels are low right now, we got lucky because the river area in the back of the cottage has a deep swimming hole, as well as shallow areas to rest in. The cottage itself was very clean and cool and felt very cozy and safe. The comfortable beds were also a plus! The town square is close, but there are no sidewalks to get there, so sneakers are recommended in order to walk there. Be sure to bring water shoes and noodles to float on in the river. Great getaway!

Amazing getaway

Great Birthday Getaway
Two of my life-long friends met me at Frog Cottage to celebrate my birthday. The house and location were perfect. Beautiful decor, comfy beds, and a great river front view. We sat on the deck for hours in the morning with our coffee and again in the evening. Very relaxing stay! I hope to be back.

Beautiful home in the perfect location
If you’re going to Wimberley this is the home you must rent. Located just off the Main Street in downtown Wimberley you get the best of both worlds- ability To walk to everything (although would not recommend at night in the dark) and the feeling of being on the river and worlds away from it all. The home was thoughtfully decorated and had everything we could need. The property is incredible- the view of the river and the space around is just gorgeous. I will definitely be going back!

Perfect Spot For a Wimberley Weekend
2 couples stayed in the Frog Cottage last weekend and it was perfect for us. We enjoyed the fire pit both nights the drive into Wimberley proper was about 2 or 3 minutes and we could have almost walked to the wedding venue we visited at the Water's Point. The management staff was terrific and even helped us with a maintenance request at 5 or 6 o'clock on Friday. My wife commented that she would like to come back in the hot weather when we can actually get in the river, which we were right in front of. Wimberley gem!
We stayed here for a girls’ trip and it was absolutely perfect! Nothing better than waking up to morning coffee on the back patio while watching the deer and enjoying the view of the river! Close to restaurants and shopping in town square! Will definitely be back.

We love Frog Cottage!
The nearby road is very noisy but you can tone it out after a little while. This property is wonderfully set up and very relaxing. My only recommendation would be that the exterior of the house needs a deep clean.

Great house close to downtown
We stayed 3 nights at the Frog Cottage. It was little hard to locate at first down a private road but once you are there it feels very remote despite being just a very short distance to downtown Wimberley. The house was great, clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. We spent most of our time sitting on the deck looking at the river and the wildlife. We hope to return again soon.

Great place to stay
We loved staying here! The property was beautiful and the river was just a short walk away. You feel like you are out in nature, but are so close to the town square. It is the perfect mix of privacy and being around everything. There is a property close to it, but when we stayed there the other place was empty.

Wonderful with Issues
Overall we had a fun time at the home. Very cute house and the river below was so relaxing. We changed the number of guests from 5 to 6 after my son was able to come. There is a total of 6 beds. Upon arrival one of the beds had no sheets or linens. We contacted the property company. They responded but with no solution. We looked for sheets everywhere. None were to be found. Not the biggest deal, but paying for a sixth person and not having an adequate bed to sleep in was disappointing. Probably would not say again.

Not having enough sheets is frustrating, and trying to get someone to assist you after-hours via text is also frustrating, since one will have to wait until we open for a response. We do have a 24-hour phone line for convenience, though. We apologize that the communication could have been better, and we are so sorry that the extra bedding was not easier to locate. We had a wonderful time with friends in the Frog house. Nice bedrooms and living room. We had everything we needed. We were disappointed the bedroom tv didn’t work and we wished the cleaning crew had hosed off the deck chairs. Loved that there was a washer and dryer. Perfect location
Frog cottage was spacious and had an interesting layout as if the house had been expanded in stages. Having our own private river access was wonderful. Conveniently close to Wimberly Square. My only concern was the 9-10 cars that showed up immediately next door on our last morning. I don't think it would have been as relaxing with that many people next door.

Late Winter Getaway
My husband and I, and another couple spent a week at this rental in March 2022. We are in our late 50s and early 60s. The house was wonderful for our needs. It was right on the river (my husband and the other guy waded in the cold water), close enough to walk to town and the Blue Hole (we walked frequently), and feels like you are away from it all. We sat outside for meals and drinks as much as the weather permitted. It was a little cool when we first got to town so we did not use the grill and cook out any, can't comment on that. A heads up to older renters, the queen size bedroom requires going down a couple of steps to get to the bathroom and living area. The queen size bed is very soft--a bit too soft for my joint crankiness--so just an FYI to any with the same concerns. On walking to town be aware that you are not walking in a subdivision on sidewalks but rather alongside a busy road. It didn't bother us any. There is a bridge and road that crosses the river not far from the house and there is a bit of traffic noise. It wasn't a concern. The kitchen and baths were good and had everything we needed. There are lots of deer in the area and the deer would walk through the backyard. I saw a really striking 8-point buck while there. The town itself has much to offer in the way of restaurants and shops. All the businesses seemed individually owned--no chains. We did do a day trip over to Fredericksburg which was an easy excursion. All in all, this was a great stay and I would very much rent here again. Happy travels!

Beautiful cottage but no wifi
We love the cottage. It is clean, beautiful and great location. Only one thing that we didn't expect was the wifi was not working and the property manager/owner can't fix it for us. They answered and told us that they will try to check what happened and then disappeared without no answer or trying to follow up with us. So that's why we can't give this place 5/5.

We had a great weekend as at Frog Cottage! Beautiful view of the river from the deck and living room. There is no fence between house and river, so keep that in mind if you are bringing small children! You can see RR12 going over the river, but the road noise is minimal. Would totally stay again!

Leaves on porch and lack of closet space
The only disappointing thing was the large collection of leaves on walkway and deck. These were accumulated overtime not just a days droppings. The only other item is no whee to hang cloths in master bedroom. But other than that it’s a great house with great view.

Beautiful view with incredible wildlife
Frog Cottage was a nice choice for us and our friends during our son's post-wedding vacation. The property is beautiful with daily visits from the deer and an early morning siting (on the big log right outside the house) of a big owl. I would have given a full five star rating if not for a few things: The shower curtain off the bedroom with the queen and day bed needs replacing (terribly mildew stained at the bottom); the coffee maker absolutely needs replaced (it took literally 20+ minutes to brew a pot); and I'm lucky my husband is a facilities manager and knew how to remove the hair clog in the bathtub drain of the master bathroom's tub. Also, the out-door deck is wonderful, but be aware of the road noise from nearby rte. 12......if you're wanting a true feeling of 'peaceful solitude' this can be annoying. This all sounds really bad but was definitely off-set by the rest of the house; it's spacious and tastefully decorated and, for the most part, very clean and comfortable (great beds!) Overall I would recommend Frog Cottage as a nice, stay-in-the-country place.

So relaxing
Beautiful property. It was a girls trip and we enjoyed sitting on the porch and enjoying the peace. The river had an easy entry point, and the house was larger than expected. There is some slight freeway noise, but only if you were listening for it and the kitchen is small, but we didn't want to cook so it was fine for us. We are already planning on coming back.

River getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The river access is amazing perfect for swimming or littles splashing in the shallow water. We will be back!
