Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell was born in December of 2001 in Los Angeles, California. Her brother, Finneas, was in a band during their childhood, which influenced Billie to start writing music at age 11. Eilish released her debut single, “Ocean Eyes”, on SoundCloud in 2016. This gained the attention of Darkroom and Interscope Records, and the song was re-released under the labels. After a string of singles, Eilish released her debut EP, Don’t Smile at Me, in August of 2017. On a re-release of the EP, a collaboration with Vince Staples titled “&Burn” was included. At only 17, Billie is the first artist to be born after 2000 to have a #1 album in the United States. She is also the youngest female to conquer the same feat in the United Kingdom.
