Set in the Hollywood Hills with the iconic Hollywood Sign in the distance, the Hollywood Bowl is a legendary music venue with history dating back to the 1920s. The outdoor amphitheater, which takes its name from the shape of the hillside that the venue is carved into, can seat more than 17,000 people, making it the largest outdoor amphitheater in the United States. The venue hosts the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the summer concert series performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and hundreds of other musical events around the year. With tickets for a show at the Hollywood Bowl, you can see the best of pop, rock, jazz, classical, Broadway, or whatever other musical style suits your taste.
Since the 1920s, the Hollywood Bowl has hosted some of the biggest and best musical events in Los Angeles, with performers ranging from jazz legends such as Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald to pop sensations like The Beatles and Cher to rock icons such as Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones, and Black Sabbath. The site also welcomes many different music festivals throughout the year, as well as events like the annual 4th of July Spectacular, complete with patriotic music and magnificent fireworks displays. On site, visitors can also try world-class restaurants, casual street food, and specialty markets. The Hollywood Bowl also has its own museum, where you can explore photos, recordings, memorabilia, and artifacts from the venue’s history and important performances. In 2018, get tickets to see like LCD Soundsystem, Paul Simon, James Taylor, Andrea Bocelli, Cyndi Lauper, Ozzy Osbourne, and Dierks Bentley.
