Los Angeles Dodgers Ticket Information

One of the most storied names in sports, the Dodgers have thrilled generations of fans on both coasts and helped to shape the game since their first inning in 1883. This is the team that brought baseball to television, put Jackie Robinson on the field, and helped expand Major League Baseball to the Pacific Ocean with their famous move to Los Angeles. With a loyal fan base and some of the best attendance in baseball, Dodgers games tend to sell fast, so don’t miss your chance to get a ticket to see one of the sport’s most storied teams in action.

History

Between their first home in Brooklyn and their days in Los Angeles, the Dodgers have won 22 National League pennants and 6 World Series titles, and produced a record 18 Rookie of the Year winners along the way. The first of those of those was Jackie Robinson, who also happened to be the first African American to play in the majors and who led the team to their first World Series win in 1955.

The Dodgers’ history is inescapably New York—the name comes from the way fans had to weave between Brooklyn’s iconic trolley cars on their way to Ebbets Field. But when owner Walter O’Malley decided to decamp for California, he didn’t go halfway—he convinced the New York Giants to move to San Francisco so the Dodgers would have a rival on the West Coast.

No matter which side of the country, the Dodgers have been showing the world how the game is played. Five of their 6 World Series wins came after the move to Los Angeles, and they’ve been setting attendance records from 1959 into the 2000s. Now the team has been at the forefront of signing players like Hee Seop Choi and Kenta Maeda from the other side of the Pacific. Still regulars in the playoffs and runners-up in the 2017 World Series, the home of Robinson, Roy Campanella, and Sandy Koufax promises plenty more great baseball in the games to come.
