The Ohio State Buckeyes are one of college football's most legendary programs/ Claiming eight National Titles, seven Heisman winners, and almost 30 bowl wins, the Ohio State Buckeyes are one of college football's elite. Known for placing Buckeye Leaves on their helmets, the Buckeyes have been one of Big Ten football's most successful team's.

When you think of OSU football you think of legendary coaches like Woody Hayes and Jim Tressel. It was Hayes who came up with the idea of the Buckeye Leaf stickers on the helmets. Coach Tressel known for his red sweaters. Ohio Stadium, packed with a sea of fans in scarlet and grey, cheering on their beloved team. The stadium itself is shaped like a horseshoe and commonly referred to as, "The Shoe" It holds over 100,000 fans and has been the site of numerous legendary games.

The Game

Ask any college football fan what the biggest rivalry is and without even thinking about it they'll tell you Ohio State versus Michigan Wolverines There are no two teams and fanbases that have as big of a general dislike for one another. The two teams have met over 100 times with Michigan holding a slight lead.

The Illibuck Trophy

The Illibuck Trophy is the centerpiece of a rivalry between the Buckeyes and Illinois Fighting Illini Originally the trophy was a live turtle, however soon a wooden carving was created and has become the trophy for the winning team.
